I heard something weird happened to LuzyC's pics some time ago on VJ, hence my pics remain elsewhere. For information, dial 1-800-HOBBIT.

Yeah, they may steal our pictures and we may all end up on a porn site :o

But since no one here visits porn sites, how will we know!!

And you most likely never will, lol!! I keep my "profile" on the internet to a minimum, lol BUT, i do currently have my picture in local newspapers right now, promoting NVCC's RN program!!! lol

Hey Flames, random question here: is NVCC what used to be known as NOVA or something like that? I went to college in DC and remember a college known as NOVA.

Yep NVCC (northern virginia community college) used to be called NOVA, and many people still refer to it as that! They built a brand new medical campus out in springfield, fairly close to the Mixing bowl!!

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

Actually I posted before, but it didn't post for whatever reason - so now that you have seen people, did the rest of you find that people kind of looked like what you were thinking they would? For me, it's a yes.

I haven't been surprised by what everyone looks like. I mean, there was no "Whoa" moment or anything. So I guess that's a yes for me too.
