"cover letter" for evidence?

Hi everyone,

I am in the process of putting the I-129F packet together, and I have plane iteneraries, photos, receipts from purchases I made while in Mexico, emails, etc... to use as evidence. I feel like I should include some type of a cover letter before my evidence explaining what I have included as evidence. Is this unnecessary? I just want to make sure the packet is clear and organized so it's easy for the adjudicator to understand.

I think its a good idea.

I included colored paper separating each part of my petition and listed on the paper what was in each section.

I did the same thing as ZeeNusah - I divided my stuff up into the forms + IDs stuff, the primary evidence, and the secondary evidence (I sent a bunch of secondary evidence but you don't have to do that, it's not necessary). Put a cover letter listing every single item in the packet, just in case something's lost, I guess.

In the VJ Guide to the K-1 process there's an example cover letter you can follow.

You need to include a cover letter telling what it is that you are sending.....I-129F petition with the following attachments/....etc.

You should write a cover letter and summary of how you two met.

I made the mistake of no cover letter and received 2 RFE's.

Just explain how you two met and I think your petition will be approved faster.
