As some of you know.. I work downtown NYC and the second plane flew right over me and my friends that morning as it headed into the south tower and then kaos ensued.

I don't plan on seeing the movie at the theater but may when its out on DVD. I have seen the 2 made for tv movies that aired and those were done quite well and with respect to those on board.

Coming from someone who lived through that day up close and in person its understandable to wonder if 5 years is too soon for all of this (and Oliver Stone's movie too) to be made into Hollywood reproductions. This is something we never want to have happen again. And movies like these do make people remember. And its possible that someone who sees it will remember the movie the next time they are sitting on a plane.

As for Oliver Stone's movie it is my understanding that it focuses more on 2 of the men killed that day (not sure if they were firefighters or just worked for the Port Authority) and brings a personal side to the story.

For those who say that yes people remember how can you forget. We were downtown. I know plenty of people who worked in Midtown Manhattan and they all went back to work the very next day. Like HELLO??? Do you know what just happened 20 minutes away from you all?? There is nothing I love better than standing in front of my building and having tourists ask me which way is Ground Zero. They seem so shy about it, almost afraid to ask. Even though the rebuilding is supposed to be starting soon it is a place EVERYONE needs to go see..

Bottom line.. yes it may be to soon for movies about this but we can NEVER FORGET what happened that day!!!

I may watch it tomorrow if ... I want to.
Upon further reflection, I've decided I will watch this movie in the privacy of my own home... when that becomes possible.

Same here. 9/11 hit pretty close to home for me as not only my co-workers at the NYC office (just across the street from the South Tower) were rather close to the action but my telephone call to the gal I dated back then was interrupted when she was walking into work (just across the street) right when the first plane hit. I mean, I had it live on the phone. It was horrible. Wasn't able to re-establish communications until late that evening. I don't remember ever having been that scared in my life.

So, yeah, I'll watch this one at home.

Just got home form seeing United 93..... OMG I never stopped to think about how much those poor people on that flight suffered... the fear they must have felt.... at the end of the film everyone in the cinima just sat in stunned silence...

I cant say it was a good film but it gave me a better understanding of the events of that awful day on9-11-2001

May they all rest in peace....

Can't say it was good (or bad)? #######?

Here's an idea... donate all profits made from this movie to those families who lost loved ones on that day.

My bet... they are getting paid already.... prove me wrong.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

I saw the movie and I think it was an OK movie. However I agree with most of you that there shouldnt be such a movie. The movie was almost what happenned in that plane. It seemed like they did not change anything. However in the beginning they try to show that every American family is perfect .....at least this is the idea I get...like all the passengers were smiling and talking to each other which actually does not really happen in real life.

However I only watched the movie because my husband made me. I would not have gone if it was up to me.
