But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

If you don't like this movie - you're going to love Oliver Stone's "World Trade Center" with Nicholas Cage as a NYC fireman... That's out some time later this year. I guess 5 years is an acceptable time for Hollywood exploitation...

it is too soon, and i object to these people making money off such a horrific tragedy

I don't know. I'm not denying that the movie will make money, but after seeing it I didn't come away feeling that the producer had just expoited a tragedy. There was hardly any background music, no feelings of watching an action movie, and ect. The movie theatre was silent when we walked out - similar to the mood when I saw the Passion for the first time. We noticed several people wiping tears away. I also read that the producer has gained the approval of the victims' family members prior to making the movie, which I thought was necessary. Anyways, I personally was pleased which how the movie was made and just wanted to see what you all thought. Thanks for sharing your opinions :)

It's called history. Schindler's List dealt with a much worse subject.

"Those who cannot learn from history are doomed to repeat it."

-George Santayana

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

It's really no different than watching all the documentaries on 9/11 that are out there...and I realize that those of you who don't want to see this, likely don't watch those either. Craig and I were watching one the other day and it was really upsetting. I can see why those of you who aren't going to watch, aren't. M.

It seemed to me the same at the first glance, but they made a movie about Titanic and no one objected, even though it was a horrific tragedy as well.

The movie is getting good reviews, but I'll wait until it's out on DVD.

I understand what you are saying.....we started watching The Falling Man the other day on telly but only got thro' the first 10 minutes. But then I find a lot films hard to get tho at times including Schlinders List and Hotel Rwanda just for examples. I see Rich's angle...but as history shows....we rarely 'learn' thro it, just repeat it with a different angle.

I do want to see it, like everyone it will be very hard to watch I am sure. I too had a very tough time the day it happened I was not coping well for days either.

You knew Hollywood would come out sooner or later there is just too muc $ to be made. Hard to know what to do because here the movie industry has forsaken the movie about Karla Homolka in the areas near the crimes, but in this case they can't as it affected people everywhere.

I feel bad for the people left behind with this movie for sure as it has only been 5 years.
