Need pages added to my passport

I dunno where I can post this - but this forum seems as good as any.

I just got my passport back from the Russian consulate in Seattle. The big ole visa they put in there takes up my very last blank page - so when I come back from this trip, I will need to send my passport off to have pages added. However, I have an old style passport with no RFID chip in it. I'm wondering if they will tell me they will not add pages to an old-style passport and that I have to get a new one. Does anyone know for sure? Have you had pages added to your old style passport since the RFID ones came out?

Thanks!

PEOPLE: READ THE APPLICATION FORM INSTRUCTIONS!!!! They have a lot of good information in them! Most of the questions I see on VJ are clearly addressed by the form instructions. Give them a read!! If you are unable to understand the form instructions, I highly recommend hiring someone who does to help you with the process. Our process, from K-1 to Citizenship and U.S. Passport is completed. Good luck with your process.

I went to the passport office today to do this, and the person who took my passport said that you can keep your old-style passport until it expires and continue to add pages to it. :) stupid russian visas taking up full pages at a time.

Cool. Let's up they're not an idiot and actually know what they are talking about.

Website says it can take 4 weeks once you send it in. Did your person tell you anything about how long?

Think this might help? http://travel.state.gov/passport/fri/add/add_850.html

Says there's no charge for this, but I didn't find a time frame for how long it will take.

Hope it helps some though. :)

I went to the passport office in person on Friday and will get it Monday, but you can only do that if you're travelling within two weeks. I have no idea how long it would take otherwise. If you're not travelling soon I wouldn't worry about it and just send it in, but if I were travelling within two months I would pay extra to expedite it just for my peace of mind.
