Well i have sent of my ds-230 packet to NVC realizing that in questions 20 & 22 i did not answer the questions completely. I am thinking that i will get an RFE just for that, so Im going to send another one in just so i dont get that RFE message in IVR. I know that RFE's take more time for completion of the case. Let me know what you guys think?? Any advice.

You need to say what are questions #s 20 and 22 about so that some of us (who don't remember what those questions are about) can try to answer.

I-130 Timeline with USCIS:

It took 92 days for I-130 to get approved from the filing date

NVC Process of I-130:

It took 78 days to complete the NVC process

Interview Process at The U.S. Embassy

Interview took 223 days from the I-130 filing date. Immigrant Visa was issued right after the interview

20. It asks about all the places that you have lived since reaching the age 16.

22. List employement info for the last ten years

In the date section for both of the questions, when i sent that form to my wife i didnt write "present", i just have the "begining date" filled out.

I see. So you did write dates on "From" column, but you left "To" column blank. It is very likely that they will send your DS 230 back so that you can fill out the blank. Why don't you call NVC and ask if you can send another DS 230 in order to avoid an RFE.

That's what happend to me. When I realized 3 days after my hubby sent another DS230.

He changed attention line.

not

National Visa Center

ATTN: CMR

32 Rochester Avenue

but ATTN:DR.

We didn't wait for RFE to sent another DS230, and it was smart choice.

Ha - this is very coincidental. I was "RFE'd" last week for exactly that. I did NOT put "present" down in line 20. Anyway, I sent back a new DS230 just this morning. I cannot believe they want a completely new form for lack of one word.

Visa Approved May 21st, 2008.

Yes.. you have to disable javascript valdiation or write it by hand

Alex, I would wait until your RFE is raised but have your corrected paperwork ready in mean time. Once you know a RFE is raised than talk to operator verify for what the RFE is and proceed further accordingly.

Cheers
