Hi Yassmine! I say, your ButterBall looks like a Native American baby. Have you had to use the pineapple yet?

Actually, he's 1/8 Cherokee. Coupled with 1/2 Moroccan, we expect him to darken up nicely come summertime

As for the pineapple, I murdered it the other day. Still trying to get the juice off my hands, but the kitchen floor smells great! I expect Charlie Chan to show up any minute and investigate.

I can't believe he's already over 2 weeks old!!!

The days all run together, its just one really loooooong day for us . We finally got to start sleeping in the bed last night yayyyyyy! I got soooo much more sleep now that I can nurse him on my side. Sometimes I wish he wouldnt grow up so fast. Everytime I look at that ticker I say "Wait! No! Stop!" I dont want to go back to work, I want to spend more time with my fat little baby.

And by the way, we got snow today! First snow of the year and we got a good 6 inches. Yayyyy! Ill post pics later tonight or tomorrow. Baby's napping so this is my chance to eat with both hands

hehehehehe yes I am getting a visitor and omg have I been cleaning!

We have been having some important talks regarding serious issues ie: La Princessa has no claws. She stays inside. She does not go outside. You will go out before she goes out.

Like I said,,,serious issues

The problem is the bulbs grow in clusters with big dangly intertwining roots. I noticed when you break them apart they dont grow as fast as the others that didnt get broken up. I wish you would come here and take about 10 big pots full home with you. It's just so much work, year after year and now Im not really able to keep up with this.

How deep does your ground freeze? I used to overwinter things that shouldn't be overwintered if they were "tough" (like cannas) and I planted them really deep past my freeze line (but not too deep). Maybe you should give it a try this next season-- only dig partial clumps. I wish I could get some too! We have a growing season that's maybe 200-something days, and usually things recover over that period. But who knows if I would be around long enough, KWIM? Today i stopped at WM before work and raided the cheap seed rack. Ohhhh, lovely cheap seed! I wish I could convince G-d I need tromboncino squash and somehow get it send to me, but I am wondering if my answer is NO.
