Do you really have to informed the USCIS if you change your home address every now and then?

I was wondering if it is necessary for you to keep informing the USCIS every now and then if you change your residence address? Since I received my Green Card last July of 2007 we've been residing already for two different apartments and I haven't informed them.

My question is that would I be in trouble when I removed my condition for my Green Card next year if I don't informed them about my change of address since then?

Need your response. Thanks and more power!

Sincerely,

Tony & Geraldine

Yes you need to file form AR-11 within 10 days every time you change address and your sponsor husband/wife need to file form I-865 within 30 days...

You have to do this until you become a Citizen or you leave the US for good.... I would send these forms as soon as you can for your current address...

Absolutely - it's part of the agreement when you come here that you have to notify them of address changes. It's in all their literature!!!

It's easy to do, you just have to DO it!!! :) Good luck.

Finally finished with immigration in 2012!

It's safe to assume that you have to report this move as well since the law (INA Sec. 265. [8 U.S.C. 1305]) stipulating this requirement does not make an exception for military bases or temporary moves. Besides, there is a place on the form where you can indicate whether your current move is permanent or temporary (and if temporary, for how long).
