Names are hilarious.

In the US, 80% of the time, people misspell or mispronounce my first name. I just assume that I am going to have to correct people. No one has a problem with my last name.

In Germany, 95% of the time, people mispronounce my last name. However, they almost always pronounce my first name correctly and spell it correctly.

So my husband does pronounce my first name correctly. It is the same pronunciation in German as it should be in English.

He can pronounce it correctly if he really tries but he usually just calls me Cherry. I don't have any problem pronouncing his but I have had other spanish speaking people tell me I say it funny. I just figure that's because of my extreme southern accent.
