Check the background of both photos, clearly not the same.

Source, Gary for that Obama website?

Sorry, ABC news.

http://blogs.abcnews.com/politicalpunch/20...al-blogger.html

oh, how you've twisted it. it's a BLOG on ABC, not the news itself.

That's ABC's blog.

That said, I doubt they've intentionally darkened his skin. Although it would certainly work for some voters, since 8/10 voters polled yesterday who said race was important to them voted for Hillary. (Woulda thought it would go the other way, but you never know.)

I would hope Hillary's campaign wouldn't stoop so low. But I guess we will see. Someone will figure out the truth behind that image.

An age old tactic. I'm not surprised.

Honestly, I am surprised you 'buy' into this kind of thing. I wouldn't be at all surpised to discover that these kind of rumours eminate from a right wing source hell bent on stirring the dem pot to their own peculiar advantage, just like it's Gary here who posted this particular gem

However, if you want to believe in this kind of stuff, no one is going to be stopping you.

Yes. I'm not surprised after the photo of Obama wearing Somalian formal dress or his name being mispelled, Osama. It'd be nice if Hillary would be bold enough to come out and say she won't stand for such tactics, but she won't, so if some of it gets linked to her camp...even if her camp didn't do it, she takes in part of the blame.

what does that photo prove anyway? that an Obama supporter knows how to use photoshop?

unless I see a clip of the ad in question, I wouldn't be rushing to judgement on this one

That's true, but if that's the case, his lie will soon be exposed.

Just after this got posted, I logged into my AOL account - the photo there makes Obama look darker than he is - the image was supplied by Getty

ws-04-hillary-clinton-barack-obama-200jc030508.jpg

Do you think AOL is behind a Clinton conspiracy or do you think maybe someone it's some kind of technical hitch? Or do you think everything is a Clinton conspiracy? I mean, I know she probably shot JFK and toppled the twin towers as well

Crying racism when Obama doesn't win is just as bad as Clinton supporters complain about sexism.

Just going to prove you believe all of it. I don't know why Clinton should dignify such ####### with denial and by the same token I don't think anyone in the Obama camp should either. There will be fringe supporters on all sides throwing stuff around and the best thing that intelligent people can do is ignore it.

When it comes to political statements, or statements out of the mouths of the nominees then fine, fair game, but this fringe ####### with no known origin? Why dignify it with any credibilty at all? Quite frankly it makes me think that you believe that Clinton is some kind of fraud, which is pretty much what the right wingers think. However, as I said, I can't stop you believing it, if that's what you want to do, you will.

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

Not quite. This isn't necessarily Hillary saying to her ad agency, "Yeah! Make him darker!" What it is, is part of something that happens all the time in politics - trying to make the other candidate look less appealing. I'm sure you've seen plenty of less-than-appealing photos of Hillary (see Kaydee's sig). If the photo was doctored to make him look less appealing, whether by accentuating a scowl or adding dark circle under his eyes, so be it. But if there was a deliberate doctoring of the photo to make him darker, you've got wonder why they would do that...was it preying on people's prejudice or was it just to make him look less appealing to voters?

I wouldn't say that Obama looks darker in those images, he looks jaundiced.

The politics of the past. Sadly, they will prevail.

All hail President McCain.

Yeah, about that, what is his new idea again? Bi partisan support and ethical lobbyists?

Seriously, he's a decent guy from what I can gather, but he still works from within the current system, which is as it should be. However, I am looking for some pledges to make a real change in the way politics is conducted and I haven't yet found them. Please, let me have links if you have them because it's an interesting concept. Meanwhile, why give up at this point? It's not over until it's over and there's still all to play for. Ignore the #######, it's got nothing to do with either Hilary or Barack. Well, that's my opinion anyway.

Yes - I have seen kaydees photos - if they surfaced on some rightwing blog, I wouldn't immediately assume he is some secret operative for McCain/Bush/Repulicans or whatever. I wouldn't expect them to make public apologies for his photoshop doodlings.

I think I'd wait on a little more evidence before jumping to the conclusion this is part of some racist campaign tactic on her behalf.
