My bunny, Beata, understands English OK. She does not understand the southern version of writing very well. I have been trying to explain what I need from her to send to California. If I can get the paperwork here, I will find a translator. Is there a place here or somewhere else which explains the paperwork I need from her in Russian? Can someone help me out? This ole country boy is doing his best but it I sometimes think I'm cold trailing on the paperwork when hunting for my bunny. This dog wants to hunt real bad. Thanks.

If anyone gets offended by my attempt to be humorous by typing how I speak, ie, southern, please let me know and I will stop. Otherwise, Ima gonna be me.

Where are you at in the process? Your timeline indicates you haven't filed yet, so I assume what you're asking for is what paperwork to file the I-129F you need from her.

If so, the answer is that you need the following from her:

- Form G-325A. There are 4 copies of what look to be the same page, but they all actually are slightly different at the very bottom of the page. So make sure all 4 pages get printed, and not just the first page printed 4 times. She needs to sign and date each copy. It might be easier for you to just tell her to sign them, and that you will fill them in after she mails them back to you.

- 2 passport photos. See the K-1 guide for more info on dimensions.

Those are really the only things you need from her to file. I would recommend finding a translator that is willing to be on the phone with her. If she has access to a computer, have the URL handy for the translator to tell her where to download the forms. (again, K-1 guide will help with this.)

If I've completely misunderstood your question, let me know.

Good luck, and as for how you speak, just be yourself. :)

If I understand you correctly, you're wanting to know what she needs to send you so that you can submit the I-129f to the CSC.....right? Eekee gave you a link to what she will need when she goes to the Embassy for the interview. Although there is some overlap, those are two different things. While I can't give you anything in Russian, I just wanted to make sure that there wasn't any misunderstanding. Heck, maybe I'm the one who is misunderstanding! :)

but i believe that the main document-gathering stage is the interview stage... i thought you only need proof of not being married for the first process of the k-1 visa. anyway the consulate site has numbers for the consulates in russia, so she can always call them and ask.

Sorry about taking time to get back. What I need is someone in simple Russian write down what she needs to send me for the USCIC part, I-129. I'll get it translated. I can talk to her in English but she is in a tiffy when it comes to understanding what I need here.

Hey,

ready to help you with Russian.

I'm definitely not going to be offended, but I am going to laugh.

I live really close to Kentucky, and there's a line that once crossed, everyone sounds like that. I can't help but laugh at them. And then about an hour later, I find myself talking just like them. And I have to laugh at that too!

As for getting started with the documents, there's a pretty good list in the guides section. I'm sure someone on here can PM you with it in Russian (I can't... not that good!) or you can direct her to a Russian Fiancee site where they have that stuff memorized.

My sister is like an accent chameleon. Wherever she moves, she absorbs the accent. Not pretentiously, she just sorta does it without knowing she does it. She currently lives in deep deep deeeeeeep Texas, and I can't hardly stand to be in the same room with her. It is a riot to hear her yelling at her kids though.

Slim, I know exactly what you mean. Having lived in Cinci, across the border in Covington, and in Louisville, it don't take to long to say "Florence Y'all!" (Inside joke for anyone living in Northern Kentucky.)
