I don't get it I have my K3 and My I-130 Approved. Ok so what the heck comes next?!?! I'm so confused I've never heard of both cases getting approved in the same day and when I called USCIS she said they will decide which visa I want to take unless i have preference and then she recommended I take the I-130.....what the heck!?!? So do I have a visa or not which one man........ I don't trust a word USCIS tells me and I don't trust NVC either.

Thanks everybody I appreciate it, They are actually giving the CR1 (immigration) but I am clueless as to how it works cuz the first lady said it's the same processing time as a k3 and her voice sounded nervous and as I know from most experiences here it takes 4-6 months in the NVC before it goes abroad to the consulate. Moody thanks for informing about the "JAmes shortcut" could you briefly explain that .?

They said I'm actually saving 1010.00? He'll just come as a PR. Thank god for that but the time my spouse will hit the ceiling.

CR-1 is better. No doubt about it.

CR-1 is the way to go!! it might take longer but you will not have to deal with the BS from the K3!

the k3 will fly through algiers and have a fast appt....1100 is not worth another 6 months....im doing cr1 through algiersand if i would have had the k3 option,I would have taken it...Algiers is a low volume consulate....this wait is bull and i have heard nvc will get much slower soon with all the canceled k3s

Hey 3 weeks is better than nothing. If I could go back in time and do the CR1 even if it takes extra time...I'd do it. Bridget is doing a K3 and her husband is NOT with her yet so just STOP with that. Yes, my husband is with me but yanno what waiting for his EAD just sucked. It brought both of us down. He would've been better off staying in Egypt an extra few months and maintain is dignity than sit here on the couch for 4 months waiting for a work permit.

If you have a choice, go for the CR1. K3 is useless #######. If you do go for the CR1, check out the James shortcuts. It'll make things easier.

james really doesnt shave too much time maybe 3 weeks.....its not worth another 6 months apart...Imdoing a cr1...everyone withk3s are already with their spouses

I agree with the CR1 again. M&N filed K-3, waited out AP for months upon months then bit the bullet and changed to CR1 and voila got the visa in less than a month after the interview. Her K-3 is STILL undergoing AP and he's been here for months. lol

It will be a pain for him not to be able to work BUT I want to do some traveling once he's here so it'll give us that opportunity before he's locked into a job with 2 weeks vacation that may or may not concur with my schedule. Still, hindsight's 20/20 and if I could go back I'd do the CR1. I'm kicking myself too 'cause it was approved in no time back when VSC was really quick. Oh well, c'est la vie.
