Thanks. We already have an interview date set (April 4). Yes, Costa Rica has one of the fastest turnaround times of them all. They processed our case within 24 hours of receiving it and contacted my fiancee to pick up packet 3. I've read with other embassies, people wait 1-3 months from when NVC sends it out to get packet 3.

3/10- NVC sent out our petition

3/12- USEM received it

3/13- They called my fiancee to come pick up Packet III (she will go pick it up on 3/18)

3/14- I called the embassy and asked if I can schedule the interview for 4/4 because I will be there 4/3-4/7, so I want to make sure we get that date. She said they like it when the petitioner comes to the interview. (But it's ok to go solo too)

4/4- Interview (we could've had it as early as March 24-25, but she still needs to do her medical, everything else is ready)

I've been tracking my package (pretty sure it's mine since 3/14 NVC said they shipped it out that very day) and it's in Toronto according to DHL. #######??? It is supposed to go to Montreal and it even says Montreal in the little box below. I looked at all the other Montreal cases and none of them went through Toronto on their way.

What should I do?? It looks like it's been sitting there since 8pm last night. Do I call NVC? Do I email Montreal's embassy? Do I just sit around and wait hoping it makes its way to Montreal some day? I swear anything and everything that can possibly delay things....... :ranting:

CBR,

Did you not notice that it left Toronto on its way to Montreal last night at 7:56pm? It's not just sitting there (see below). There was also another Montreal that went out today. If your case didn't make it out on Friday, it might be the one today. See the list for today.

I see that it left Toronto 24 hours ago, yea. That doesn't make any sense. And none of the other Montreal cases took a detour through Toronto, that's what I'm confused about. It doesn't take 24 hours to get to Montreal from Toronto either.

I'm sorry to hear about your NVC hell Diana, I did my time in "extended review" hell at USCIS already. Look at when I filed. I'm chilling out, but I've been through so much ####### already that it is just so stressful to have problems at every turn.

I'm gonna breathe in and breathe out and see what happens tomorrow.

According to DHL, my petition was delivered to Montreal on the 10th. As of today, they still haven't opened it up and "received" it.

Lol I'm trying Laura I really am. Some days I just feel cursed and this is one of them. I'm not going to think about it for the rest of the night. I'm sure someone will figure it out somewhere along the way and send it to Montreal. It just would have been nice if at least one step of this process went smoothly.

Now, how do you know they didn't open it and "receive" it? Did you email Montreal or are you looking at the DHL site?

I called the Government of State.

When I last talked to NVC they said that it was sent to Montreal on the 7th of March.

I tracked it using DHL. It was delivered on the 10th.

When I called the Government of State (202-663-1225) they said that it's showing that it was sent on the 7th to Montreal but they haven't "Received" it yet, meaning, it hasn't actually been opened and put into the system.

I'm going to keep calling back GOS.

When it has been entered, I can ask them when they will be mailing out package 3 :)

It will get to Montreal!!! I know it!!!!
