Weird RFE message from NVC

well i call and get this message about missing or incomplete information about my case and the mail send out feb 27.

I call that day talk to operator they said it was about ds230 need to complete. So i take james shortcut and send in the Ds230

today i received the actual letter from NVC, mail out from their mail room March 3. about my DS230 and have to send back to them

but the Attn: DR instead of CMR.

has anyone have similiar issue or problem that i have.

another thing should I wait and call talk to operator or send out the new form to the attn:DR with the checklist letter

advice would be helpful

Hi may I clarify something have you sent already your DS230? Your siggy says you did on 02.28.

So don't worry, we had same situation - the RFE in 02.15 because DS230 was "missing".

NVC complete review of I-864 and generated RFE for DS230 on 02.15 but previously on 02.11 message said "your packet of forms has been sent" so it has no chance to enter the system yet.

Our DS230 was sent on 02.12 we used James' s. and attention line was CMR, packet enterd system on 02.20.

i don't really know but i think it a returned department when you geta RFE

DR: direct responses ?

I missed with WC, I wouldn't guess it's Written Corespondese

This attention lines only affect cover letter for DS230.

Example of "regular" adress

ATTN: CMR

after RFE, ATTN line change from CMR to DR.

But I assume it is not crucial since I've been told I don't have to wait for actual RFE letter to send of missing info.

We got 2 RFE, lets call it "false" (like coolgt) and "real" where I did mistake.

Only for the real RFE, we changed this line.

DR=document review. This is where you send RFE responses. Do not know what CMR means. Anybody?

it really confusing when they send out "false" RFE. if you relly know and send back info which will caused 1. case delay 2. another confusion at NVC. i just hope my case complete soon

WC= could be Written Correspondence

All of these work is from the checklist letter we receive.

Hello friends,

I called NVC this morning and heard the typical "information missing" message. I have read on here that this typically means they have processed yr I-864 and IV fee bill and waiting to recieve DS-230. Does this mean I can send DS-230 now? here is a lil backgroud information on my timeline.

I-864 sent on March 3, 08

IV fee bill recieved on March 10, 08

IV fee bill sent on March 11, 08

Although I am still working on getting all the documents ready for DS-230 but can I send it as soon as i am ready or do i have to wait for the checklist from NVC? (the automated message said," we have received your packet of forms and have found information missing. A letter was sent on March 17th informing you of the information missing.") Also now do I send the DS-230 to ATTN: DR or CMR?

Please advice.

call NVC and talk to operator ask if your ds230 has been generate. if it does you are safe. but normally that message could mean one of two things.

1. you get stuffs missing on your i864

2. you i864 is complete and waiting for ds230.

so just call nvc and ask if ds230 generate then you are safe to send it in
