In all fairness, so are 99.9% of the threads in the VJ off-topic forum.

Seriously... who writes like this:

Their ravenous hatred for each other grows as we watch the love fest.

The words from their past are coming to the forefront like a ghost they denied from their past.

Lets all watch for the dribble that spews from the lips of the preachers of love.

I was really defending this thread per se; I was merely stating that it seems most entries on the OT forum are fairly ludicrous.

I can't imagine anyone seriously claiming either party has ever held a monopoly on uncivility.

All politicians are generally civil and diplomatic, except when it suits their interests not to be. I've never met a succesful politician incapable of slinging mud.

McCain and Huckabee have nothing to gain by slinging mud. Their contest is decided. They can afford to be civil.

Hillary and Barak are now in a very hotly contested race, with no clear winner, each one grasping for any possible advantage. Of course somebody's going to sling mud. When their competition is decided, you can bet they'll unite and start slinging mud at McCain.
