http://203.177.135.10/ivappointment/login.asp

think that applies only to CR-1. K-1 Visas are not scheduled interview as soon as physical petition is in Manila.

Hello everyone!

What is IV case number? Where do we get this case number? I thought of trying this http://203.177.135.10/ivappointment/login.asp. but doesnt know what IV case number is.

If we are to pick-up for our date sched for interview...does it mean we will never be interviewed if we will not call the USEM?

OK i have ask the same thing but no one seems to answer the question is the phone call necessary?

Your question is what this thread is trying to determine. IMHO, I would say no. EricC is correct in stating that the Immigrant Visa unit handles K visas which is stated on the USEM website:

K & V VISAS

Fiancé(e) of a U.S. Citizen (K-1), child of K-1 (K-2), spouse of a U.S. Citizen (K-3), child of K-3 (K-4), spouse of legal permanent resident (V-1), child of legal permanent resident/child principal/L.I.F.E. Act (V-2), and derivative child of V-1 and V-2 (V-3) visas are classified as nonimmigrant visas. However, applications for such visas are processed and issued only at immigrant visa issuing posts, which cover the consular district, unless the post has been specifically authorized to process K visas.

The Nonimmigrant Visa Unit in Manila is NOT authorized to process or respond to inquiries on K and V visas. The Immigrant Visa Unit processes these visa applications.

After calling the USEM they have told many of us we have to call the call center to pick an interview date. I don't know that if we don't call we will be given a default or later interview date or not. But according to the embassy they said call.

Yes! We have to call on March 14th for an interview date.

The only way for us to be given that date is to call the call center.

the Embassy website has been updated now concerning new appointment procedure.

http://manila.usembassy.gov/wwwh3023.html

Visa Interview Appointments

If you already have a visa petition filed for you and your priority date is current or about to become current, you may check below for your appointment date. Just type your case number on the textbox and click the “Check Appointment” button.

Click here and check for your case number

If you have an interview date but no time is indicated on your appointment letter, you should plan to appear at the Embassy at 7:30 a.m. on the date of your appointment. The database or listing is updated in the middle of each month. If you do not see an appointment date, check back after one month. Usually, this site carries appointment dates three (3) months out.

Starting March 14, 2008, those applying for K1, K2, K3 and K4 visas who have been notified by the Embassy to prepare for their interview can call a Visa Information Service operator to schedule an interview appointment at the U.S. Embassy. Applicants or their representatives must have the applicant’s Immigrant Case Number as given in the Embassy notification letter available when they call to schedule an appointment. This service will be available from within the Philippines as well as from the United States.

Applicants for all other immigrant visa categories unable to make previously scheduled appointments can call the same number, where an operator can reschedule appointments if no medical examination is pending.

Applicants, Agents or Petitioners can call Visa Information Services using the 909 number available within the Philippines at 1-909-101-7878. The cost of the 909 service is U.S. $0.98 per minute charged to your telephone bill. Callers can speak with an English- or Tagalog-speaking operator. The service is available to the public from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday – Friday, Manila local time.

Applicants, Agents or Petitioners calling from within the United States will also be able to reach our Services at the toll-free number at 1-888-877-9888. The cost of the 888 Service from the United States is a U.S. $18.00 PIN payable using a Visa or MasterCard once you have called into the service. This service is not available through the Visa Information Services website.

Well I'm glad they are putting the info on their website now. I think this is just another way to get money from us. If I would have had my NOA2 a week or two earlier I wouldn't have to do this and would have an early April interview date already. I hope I get an early date I want her to be here with me so bad.

you can try the direct line, the worse that would happen is they tell you have to call the 1-888 number.
