I just wonder how long we would have waited to hear from London Embassy about "not qualified" had I not called the Washington DC number as it was almost 2 months since we sent packet 3 in, I'm sorry but I feel a bit angry right now.

No wonder you are angry (F) They want some more stuff from you so why don´t they just let you know right? Well hopefully it will go fast for you now :) Good luck :D

Congrats to Mike and Caro :D I see lotsa good news these days :D

Congrats to all those who have received approvals and are making their way through the end of this process!!!

Just a lil update...

Steve arrived in the US about a month ago now, and everything is great!! He came in through JFK, so he got a work stamp (although it looks reallly dodgy!). AND, he already got a job working with a company called Australian Landscaping and Construction, which is actually owned by a couple Aussie guys so it is perfect for him! He manages groups of workers and sort of oversees different projects. He really likes it, and they gave him a company truck and fuel card as well. Plus, they are really easy about the work stamp stuff and getting time off for the wedding because at least one of them has been through this whole thing before. He also went in to apply for a S.S. number a couple weeks ago and all went well, so should be arriving any day now.

We're so excited to finally be together!!!! I'm loving every minute of this.

Good luck and best wishes to everyone - finally getting to be together forever :luv:

Take care

Hey guys I am finally finished with collecting all the documents for my fiancee's visa interview but i wanna make sure i have everything befor I send it.

Check List:

copy of the entire I-129F Package- no need they have that our have not got interview

I disagree... while they may never need it it's better to be safe than sorry.

Notarized I-134 affidavit of support- yes

Yes that's correct.

paystubs, bank statements and a letter from my bank, tax transcripts, employer later.- yes

I used paystubs, last 5 years tax transcripts, letters from employer & statement from my employee investment fund.

completed form DS-156K, DS-156, DS-230 part I and II-shouldnt they already have that ? maybe post specific, but part 2 is signed at interview not before

I sent the same... all filled out and everythign and then when she got them we went through them line by line so she could fill in by hand the stuff that wouldn't fit doing it on the computer (and also the native language stuff)

letter of Intent to marry signed and dated- sign and dated at interview

Actually Rob this would be the latest one from the petitioner which does need to be signed and dated. I am unaware of any requirement for the beneficiary to arrive at the interview with an unsigned letter of intent.

phone bills, phone cards, e-mails, letters, receipt of western union and moneygram, congrats cards from my family of our engagement, and the receipt of our ring. ok

I used the same stuff that was in the I-129f plus I added a packet of the origional boarding passes from trips we took together and copies of e-mails, web-cam screen shots, 1 years worth of call logs from my international calling card, color scans of packages she has sent to me

boarding pass, Itinerary, copy of the visa stamp on my passport- ok

I assume that you are the petitioner and this is all your future trip to go get your fiancee??

copy of the NOA2- cant get interview if they dont already know this

I sent the same... yes, not required but so what. I sent the origional copy of NOA1 & NOA2 & the letter from the NVC

her birth certificate- maybe post specific again

I'm not quite clear on why you are sending your fiancee her birth certificate

and last but not least a lot of pictures of our engagement party and when we went to places. ok

And thats it so if I am missing something please let me knw, thank you very much in advance.

If you've followed the items on the "checklist" from the Embassy where your finacee will interview you should be all set.

Our Visa Journey

07/29/07 ---- Mailed I-129F

08/25/07 --- Check finally cashed (8/27 I should be able to see the R number on the back).

3/29/08 --- She receives Packet 4 with interview date (July 11th).

3/30/08 --- I e-mail the Embassy asking to make the date earlier because I've already got our tickets for June 13th!!!

5/6/08 --- No help from the Embassy. Rebooked tickets and vacation till September.
