I don't know, I can't really compare since no one in my family had children. I was always the only child surrounded by grown ups.

This was actually the first time a looked after a child and the second time in my life that I held a baby

I know her Dad well and he was so relaxed about everything. He just instantly trusted me 100%, and that made me feel like I knew what I was doing. LOL She only cried a little bit, other than that we are doing fine.

Unfortunately I am not getting any work done and my real boss called me already, asking for this and that, hahaha. He's fine with it though, best boss I've ever had. I really love the people I work with. <3

This is the slowest and most boring day in the office ever. I am about to fall asleep on my keyboard.

The fact that I crave chocolate doesn't make it any better.

Aw, she sounds like a delightful baby!

I only spoke for myself; my hat is off to people who are good with babies and toddlers. Hopefully it will come to me when I have my own children. My mother had not held a baby before she had me and she is excellent with small children; knows exactly how to talk to them and what they like to play with.

After such a fun filled weekend last weekend we have no plans for this one. I'm thrilled. I need a rest. I've been worn out all week from running all weekend last weekend. I'm finally getting around to fixing my chicken tonight. Well I hope I am. I stupidly put it in the freezer and it's taking forever to thaw.

I'm here too! Julie was right, I just woke up like 30 minutes ago. We ended up going to the grocery store last night after lamp shopping and then watched Balls of Fury. I wasn't really too impressed with the movie because I expected it to be a lot funnier. There were some funny bit though! Good thing I got if from the library and it was free. I ended up going to sleep around 4am. I watched Shameless on Sundance at 3am since I was awake anyways. It's hilarious!

We have lots going on this weekend! I used to hate packed weekends because I was so tired from the week and now that I don't work anymore I don't mind them so much. This afternoon my mom, sister and I are going to this new restaurant here called LA Grille & Ale House. It's a locally owned place and they're supposed to have really good low calorie options. I looked at the menu online and it looks okay. Tomorrow we have my cousin's 1st birthday party where we get to give him all those noisy azz toys we bought the other day. Sunday is some sort of family reunion type thing for my grandpa's family because his twin brother is dying. He has 14 brothers and sisters!!!!!!!!! Apparently they lived in a one room house and slept 3 and 4 to a bed if not on the floor. I feel kinda bad because I didn't even know that his brother was sick. Now they're not sure if he will even make it to Sunday.

Anyone else have anything fun & exciting going on this weekend? I guess I should go add to the cooking thread that the ingredient this week is seafood!

I'm bored. There isn't anyone here at work today. I was all fired up to work when I got down here to my other office but my boss is gone for the day and so is the lady I share the office with. The other lady that works in this department is leaving at 3. I think I'm getting out of here too. Just not sure when. I'd go now but I have exercise class at 2. I'm here till at least 3. I guess I could still work but I just can't bring myself to do it.
