we're off to shop for lamps for our bedroom. we had to get new nightstands a few weeks ago because we broke one (use your imagination for that). anyways we also broke a lamp and now only have one. so we need matching ones for either side of the bed because I'm weird like that. I wish it wasn't storming so bad! at least I'm actually using my laptop for once.

Finally, it's Friday!!!!

I have been really busy at work this morning - I am the PA to a 4 month old baby named Jana and she is very demanding. She keeps on grabbing my hair and won't let go. She drools on me. She cries. She wants me to bounce her around. I lift her up, smile and go "weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee" in my high pitch kids voice. Then she is pleased and eventually also lets go of my hair.

Jana decided to take a nap, so I had time to eat. I cut up some veggies this morning (carrots, mushroms, pepper, spriong onion, snow peas) and took one of those quick&spicy Asian noodle soups with me. Also, I had a small steak in the fridge which I cut into paper thin slices. I threw all that together in a tupperware, added some boiling water, stired and let it sit for a couple of minutes. The meat came out well, the soup was good and the veggies still crunchy. Awesome. Easy-peasy cheap and healthy lunch.

Ohhhh my new boss just woke up, I have to get back :)

regalame una sonrisita con sabor a viento

tu eres mi vitamina del pecho mi fibra

tu eres todo lo que me equilibra,

un balance, lo que me conplementa

un masajito con sabor a menta,

Mm...sounds delicious! I have toast for lunch; it's looking unappealing now!

Hurrah for Friday! Work has been very dull this week, and I have a three-day weekend to look forward to :)

My parents have rented a house in Stratford-Upon-Avon for a week and my mother is afraid of being in the house on her own the first night (my dad is away until Sunday) so she's asked me to come down and keep her company. ;)

She wouldn't be totally alone as she's taking the twins and the dogs, too, but she wanted some adult company. And I thought, hey, it's not going to be too expensive to travel and I'll have a break from the monotony of my current life. :)

I can't say I envy you looking after a four-month-old! I do like babies/children but I never know how to handle someone else's. I find it fine if they're related to me but I always feel very awkward around other people's children.
