and unlike the east and left coast, when we hear shots out here, it's actually someone hunting. ;)

Yeah cuz crazy shooters only exist there.

 but we're not making the news ;)

There's tons of (good & bad) stories about either coast, every single day! Imagine that!

You're not making any news, good or bad.

being under the radar is a good thing. ;)

Home now :D

Went to the tanning salon because I needed some sun light - it's been a rainy, grey day and I just needed some UV rays to cheer me up. Now I have freckles on my cheeks and look like a five year old. :)

Came home and found lots of gifts on my doorstep. Mom bought lovely French coffee bowls for me - with little squirrels on them, so cute! I had ordered some stuff on amazon, some iPod speakers for my bathroom and a pair of Asic Tigers, white/ green (they were on special). Kick ####### shoes, they look awesome (I love sneakers and would always prefer buying sneakers over heels).

Also, a few months back, I had pre-ordered a book on amazon. It's written by my favourite chick flick author Lisa Jewell and I am always counting the days until her new book gets released. So it finally got here today, I unwrapped it in total excitement - only to realise it's the book I have read already, it just had been released for the American market and they had changed the name. So I have to send it back. I didn't check the summary when I ordered it, I only saw the release date and the new book title and though - Bingo! I really wanted to spent the weekend in bed, reading. I guess I have to pick one of the other 50 unread books, which have been sitting on my shelf for years, waiting to be read!

No dinner pic today - I bought a fresh loaf of organic whole grain rye bread (it was still warm) and had two slices with marg and vegemite. Really not worth taking a picture!

How is everyone today?

I'm thinking about start tanning at tanning beds. I've been the whitest ever and there's no beach around and tanning in the backyard is so boring, I have no patience.

I think tanning in on the tanning beds is just as harmful as tanning in the natural sun. :) Exactly Nessa, fukc cancer! Sooner or later we'll get it anyway.

Hey Nessa, where did your fukc cancer statement go? LOL

Yeah, I guess some people could be sensitive about that.

I am 29 now and my Mom had cancer for unbelievable 21 years now. I think we made every single tasteless joke about cancer that is out there. And I am glad it's that way, I would hate for us to sit around and just feel awful about it.

I smoke sometimes, I eat non organic vegetables/fruit drenched in pesticides, I use artificial sweetner, I sometimes eat pork, I eat cheese melted with meat (like on pizza), I eat burnt toast. All these things can cause cancer. And so many more. Screw that, a life lived in fear is a life half lived. Let's go and tan, Nessa. LOL.

OMG! I tan religiously. I go twice a week every week starting in January or February and continue going until October or November. I think I'm going to stop going in June this year though after we go to the beach. It just depends on what might be going on later in the year. I had a pre-cancerous mole removed from my leg last year but that hasn't stopped me from going. I really shouldn't go as much as I do. I got burnt to a crisp last night and I don't know why. I've been going for two months now.

Just couldn't stay my @ss away!

It's not only about cancer, but they say if you tan too much you'll look older earlier.

I haven't been tanning long. I just started doing this like two years ago. I never tanned when I was younger, which is odd because that's when most girls want to be tan. When I had that mole removed from my leg I stopped going last year. I didn't go back until this year. Oh, I also stopped going the first year I was tanning because I got pregnant. I went back after I had my miscarriage though. So, I guess I haven't gone continuously for that long. There were some long breaks in there.

Just couldn't stay my @ss away!
