1 hour 40 minutes :clock:

I am so leaving early today. I've had it with this place!

Besides, if my colleagues forces one more gummibear down my throat, I will die because of a sugar overdose. And I have to babysit his 4 moth old daughter all day tomorrow, so I have to live :) He's bringing her along for the day tomorrow and I am the babysitter. Oh, how I love cuddly babies :luv:

Well, 30 percent might not be overweight but it is overfat. Which is the only measure that matters. "Overweight" is pretty useless in terms of health and appearance since it's just a number on a scale.

I doubt you are 30 percent body fat.

See, that's my point. I know I'm not exactly in the best shape ever, but to say my body is 27% fat is ludicrous. Every person that knows me that I've told says, "That's impossible, she did the test wrong". And correct me if I'm wrong but fat on your body(body fat percentage) is what makes you fat. Hello!!! So if I'm 5'3" weighing 111 pounds, there ain't that much fat there.

Just couldn't stay my @ss away!

Total body fat percentage consists of essential fat and storage fat. Essential fat is that amount necessary for maintenance of life and reproductive functions. The percentage for women is greater than that for men, due to the demands of childbearing and other hormonal functions. Essential fat is 2–5% in men, and 10–13% in women. Storage fat consists of fat accumulation in adipose tissue, part of which protects internal organs in the chest and abdomen. The minimum recommended total body fat percentage exceeds the essential fat percentage value reported above. A number of online tools are available for calculating estimated body fat percentage.

Description Women Men

Recommended amount 20-21% 8–14%

Adults in United States, average 22-25% 15–19%

Obese 30%+ 25%+

Well she said it was average. I'm not at risk, my blood pressure was really good, my weight is ok, and my heart rate was alright. She said I do need to improve my heart rate a bit which I knew that already. Of course I'm not happy with my body right now or I wouldn't be getting an exercise program to begin with. I knew I wasn't in good shape and that I needed to tone up. I just never imagined she'd tell me I'm 27% body fat. It just seems impossible to me. But whatever. I'm on the right track to fix it so I'm not worrying about it anymore.

and unlike the east and left coast, when we hear shots out here, it's actually someone hunting. ;)

Yeah cuz crazy shooters only exist there.

 but we're not making the news ;)

There's tons of (good & bad) stories about either coast, every single day! Imagine that!

You're not making any news, good or bad.

I live in the midwest and haven't heard a gunshot since I was little

Even though they are apparently gonig on all of the time, I don't think I've ever heard one and certainly never seen a gun (that wasn't on a cop or some kind of security person). It's funny how hubster's family had this image that you see people running around with guns all over the place.

Yeah, I saw that one today. The one I found yesterday said 30% was considered obese and 23-25 was acceptable. I just couldn't imagine that I was only 3% from being considered obese. This chart makes much more sense. My whole thing was I couldn't see how being 111 pounds was obese in any way unless I was only 4 feet tall. It was just throwing me off a bit.

omgoodness what are you even worried about? If that's you in the picture there's no way you're even close to being overweight. I'd say if anything you need to eat! :P Plus you're young so who cares about heart health etc...let's start worrying about that when we hit 40 or something :D

I did this cool little scale thing last Christmas in Edinburgh, that measured weight and heartrate and blood pressure and all sort sof things I'd never seen here in the US before (I mean seen on a machine in a store). So I'm 5'7 and about 132, did the test and it came back with low to normal good numbers on everything and then it said something like I was 43% fat

I freaked out for a couple minutes then threw it away. There's no way in hell. I wouldn't worry about it

Summer 2001 - met my Scottish boy

December 18th, 2007 - proposal in Madrid's Botanical Gardens with a duck standing behind him going 'food?'

January 31st, 2008 - received NOA1, issued Jan. 24 :)

February 24th, 2008 - NOA2; omgwtfbbqlolz

I'm turning 30 in a few weeks so I'm not young. I'm not old by any means but it's time for me to start worrying about my health more. I know I'm not fat. But most people that know me really well also know I have a fat obsession. If I gain a pound I freak out. I know, I know, I have issues. I'm ok with my weight and stuff. I just want to be more toned up and have better cardiovascular health. Right now as it is I couldn't get out and enjoy my kids if I had any. So before I have some I'd like to get in shape for when they are big enough to go out and play I can sorta keep up with them. I've never been motivated to do anything but it's time for me to get serious about it.
