Well, I just had lunch and now I am drinking tea.

It's a nice, warm sunny day and I can finally wear my summer skirt suits to work again. Spend 1 1/2 hrs. outside, browsing shops for my boss's birthday gift. Ended up buying a nice teapot with a warmer and some tea. That basically means that I have to make tea for him everyday now, but that's ok because I like being submissive :P

I didn't get to work until 10am this morning, I am still bothered by this daylight saving bullsh!t and my bed was just so comfy.

Does one of you girls have a fringe (a bang for the Americans)? I am really struggleing with cutting it myself (it's too short and not straight and chunks of her are being randomly cut off) and was wondering how you girls are doing it. If you are doing it. *sigh*

I don't have a fringe per se but I do cut my own hair, including regularly trimming the front (which is layered).

I just shampoo my hair, then when it is still wet get a fine comb and cut it. I just make sure to take my time, and go slowly. I end up going completely cross-eyed from trying to look at my own hair! It's tricky to look in a mirror when the hair's hanging down in front of your eyes.

I also always end up feeling that I've cut it too short or too raggedy, but once it's dry it looks a lot straighter and after a week or so it's grown out to just the right length.

Hey Rachel :)

Yeah, that's kind of how I do it and have been doing it, but I am just not happy with the results - the fringe is faded on the sides and it looks great on one side, never on the other. You are so right, it kind of looks ok after a week!

I could go to the hairdresser, but my hairdresser is only in town for two days every fortnight and the salon charges €55 for each haircut - I rarely cut the back of my hair all I need is some fringe trimming and I don't want to spent €55 on it every four weeks. But all the other hairdressers suck big time, so I don't weant to spend €10 on them for a miserable fringe trim either.

Oh well, I just have to suck it up and keep on doing it myself! LOL What a superficial, luxury problem.

Well, it may be superficial, but I think it's good to take a little care and pride in one's appearance, both for yourself and other people :)

Oh - and I found you on Facebook, so that's me who's added you :D

I realised that the hairdressers weren't doing a great job and that I could save money by doing it myself, too. It's tricky but then I remind myself that it's free and that no one ever notices if some of your hair is a little shorter than the rest.

Exactly :)

I do all the beauty stuff myself - manicure, pedicure, eyebrows (plucking and dyeing) etc. Everytime I go and get a manicure, I feel disappointed, because I could have done it better myself

I'll add you to facebook once I am home, I can't access it at work. Luckily they haven't blocked VJ yet, but I am sure it's just a matter of time until they will, if I continue spending so much time here!

I just ate too much chocolate. My stomach is going - hey, what have you done? What am I supposed to do with all the fat and sugar?!

Ah, chocolate! I have to simply not buy it, because if it is there I will eat it. And then comes the sugar rush and the headaches and dizziness and I wonder why I did that to myself!

Had a week with porridge, soup, lean steaks and vegetables and I have never felt better. I just have to remind myself of that when I'm in the supermarket.

Sounds just like me!! If it's in the house, I have to eat it.

I have also been eating healthy for the past week and feel much more energetic and vital. Healthy food does pay off! Woah!

Pedro, look - is it that one?? That's the one I like :) I buy it at a little charming chocolate shop in the city.

good morning.

Julie, I cut my bangs here like 3 months but I dind't like it so I'm letting it grow. Last time I had bangs back when I was 22, I would go get a haircut every 3 months (my hair is really long, so I always only cut every 3 months) and my bangs I'd cut myself every now and then, I'd never pay to only cut the bangs. But I'm cheap.

I haven't had bangs in years. When I did I cut them myself. But the hairdresser I go to will do a bang trim for like $5. I actually never paid to get it done, I just always did it myself. My ex used to be a hairdresser so he taught me how to cut them. You just wet them, comb them all straight down and to the middle, then cut them about the bridge of the nose. They turn out to be just the right length once they are dry if you cut them right there. And since you are combing them down and to the middle the sides end up being just a little longer than the middle. I never had a problem doing them that way. I'd just try that and see how it went.

Just couldn't stay my @ss away!
