I personally loved Atonement - one of my favourite movies of last year - but it's certainly not for everyone. I have to say that while Keira Knightley is picture-perfect in the role, her acting is the worst thing in the movie, but James McAvoy and the supporting cast more than make up for her lack of skill.

Marilyn, bribe him with sexual favors

Now seriously, if he takes care of the bills, why do you want to? I find it great that Charles is the one who worries about that. I know I have to know how to do it just in case in a distant future I'll have to do it by myself, but for now, if he wants to do it, great.

he doesn't take care of the bills, i do.. but whenever I bring up the bills he says he will take care of the bills (which he never does :P) I just want him to be aware of what is coming and going etc.... he spends most of the money without asking me what needs to be paid etc..

and when I will tell him "hey, we don't have money for that" he gets a ll pouty...

it is the same person julie! the first one actually looks almost identical to my grandma and the second one looks like what her sister looks like last year when I saw her. the guy in the background in the first one is almost definitely her son charlie

I think it is, yes! It's extraordinarily beautiful (some criticism levelled at the movie is that it was so shot as to be Oscar-bait, but I think that's unfair!) and the score is extremely well composed - fits perfectly.

I just saw this ad on a website and I think it's my grandma's sister. I haven't seen her for about a year but I'm like 99% sure it's her

I'm going to email it to my dad to get his opinion. Don't want to call the grumpy granny unless I must!

Charlie looks like fun ;) How old is he? :P

Of course you must inquire about the whole thing! Call Grandma!! Now!

And Alex - I love arthouse movies, now I wish I wouldn't have *ehm* wasted my evening on the internet again. I should have watched that movie!! I should see if you recommended any other movies in the movie thread, maybe I can find some new films to watch! ;)

Oh, I haven't posted in the movie thread but I am an avid movie-watcher (my local cinema has a monthly subscription plan - for the price of less than two adult tickets per month I can see any movie, any time, as often as I like) and see maybe 30-40 movies a year so I am always very happy to offer up recommendations.

But when you get a job, that will definitely help out. He probably spends it because he makes it & feels entitled to a bit of fun...
