I have a headache now after watching that.:lol:

I hope things aren't too bad with your mom Julia. I'll be thinking about you both. Right now I'm just sitting here listening to XM Radio and doing nothing. I already cleaned my area so I don't have anything else to do. There isn't anyone else in the office right now that I could ask for work. I'm just waiting on the other lady to get here so I can get started on the storage room. I'm beginning to think maybe she's not coming to work today. She's usually here by now.

Just couldn't stay my @ss away!

Has the other lady arrived yet?

Ugh, I just called my Mom. They found new tumour in her chest bone and in her scull bone behind the eyes. Tomorrow she gets an abdomen ultrasound and next week another cat scan to see what's going on with her liver. It really sucks.

And ARGH, I just ripped the second pair of black tights today!!!!

Time for coffee.

Good Morning.

I'm glad your husband is feeling better, Marilyn

Amber, how are you feeling today? (wherever she is :P )

Morning ya'll!

I'm a little peeved already today at work. I work in one office from 8-12 then another one 1-5. In the first office they had told me earlier that they wanted me to organize (clean out) a storage room they have and take inventory of the things in there once I got settled in(the 8-12 job is new). Well I wear dress clothes and high heels to work. So, if I'm going to clean out a storage room then I'll wear blue jeans and tennis shoes. They asked me to start cleaning it today. I'm wearing my brand new dress pants and 2 inch heels. Don't you think they could have told me yesterday they wanted me to start cleaning that stupid room out today so I could have dressed accordingly. I don't really think lugging boxes around in 2 inch heels is the smartest thing to do. Plus if these pants got ruined I'd be pi$$ed. I'm stuck. Should I just start straightening it up a bit and moving things around to make it look like I'm doing something? Then tomorrow I can wear my jeans and tennis shoes and really get things done. I hate to just sit here and do nothing(when I say nothing I mean work on other things besides the room) since they did ask me to start on it. I'm afraid they'll think I'm just ignoring the fact they asked me to work on it. She did say if I had time could I start it today. :help:

Deja Vu. My worst nightmare ever is to do inventory. I hate hate hate having to organize other people's accumulated mess.

I had the exactly same problem here with my last job. It wasn't part of my job at all help with manual labor to help organize and advertise events. My job was to do the office work, the spreadsheets, the contacts, the paperwork organization, etc. Administrative job, not go to a dirty trailer and put together canopies, or go put flyers in cars.

Like you, I wear high heels and wear dress clothes to work. I like to be dressy. It happened a few times they asked me the day I had to do sh!t like that. Most of the time my co-workers would tell me a day before so I could bring jeans and tennis shoes.

Luckily at most of those days I was not told the day before, since I always carried my gym bag with gym clothes and tennis shoes in my car, I was able change (can you imagine a hot summer day having to walk from car to car with high heels sandals to put flyers on the windshields? ). But still, it's a pain to be at work, have to change your clothes, do dirty work, come back and change again after being sweaty. And then there were a few days that I just didn't have my gym bag cuz I wasn't going to the gym.

Charles told me ''keep always a pair of jeans and tennis in the car just in case'' but I'm way too stubborn, it's not my job to do that why should I bring clothes just so they can use me to do other people's job, I refuse to do that

Julia: Yes the other lady finally showed up. She is not helping me do anything though. I didn't figure she would. We are friends but she absolutely refuses to do anything she wasn't asked to do by her supervisor. Her supervisor is not the same person as my supervisor. So I'll be stuck in there doing it myself.

Nessa: That's what really irks me about the whole situation. I hate cleaning up other peoples #######. I have terrible organizational skills so I'm not the best person to do the job anyway. If it were up to me I'd go through the room and throw everything away and start over. But it's not up to me. They reorganized the jobs back in December. In the reorganization it was determined that I was not qualified enough to do the job I currently had(it got upgraded). Which was fine with me because I hated the job anyway. So they gave me a job in another part of the library but there really wasn't enough work for me to do. To remedy that situation they brought me back up where I was working full time to work 8-12 and do the new job they had given me 1-5. The problem with that is, I'm now doing a job that is so below my skill level it isn't even funny. Basically I'm a receptionist, nothing at all wrong with that, but it's not what I want to do. What makes it even worse is they used to have students doing this job. I feel like I've been demoted. I didn't want the job but since they can't fire me and have to provide me a job I had to take it. There haven't been any other jobs open up on campus for me to apply for so I'm just stuck here. Basically I have the job that gets to do all the "fun" stuff that everyone else in the office is too good to do. I'm the lowest man on the totem pole and it just pi$$es me off. I don't have any library experience so it really limits what jobs I can do here. It just sucks and I'm so tired of doing ####### work. I want to do something I enjoy.

watching random people have sex is way better than staged porn.

oops, i didn't say that. someone else did :P

Yeah, I agree. Or hearing random people have sex. In the apartment above me (where I lived last year) lived this really attractive girl. She used to pull a lot and one time it sounded so good, I closed the window to hear them better :P

you're naughty julie! I like it

I got my nails done yesterday. They were in such bad shape they had to take off the old nails and put new ones one. They used gel this time instead of acrylic because they said it is stronger. Well they had to put tips back on my real nails because my nails weren't in good enough shape to save. They didn't get my right thumb nail glued down good. There is a big gap between the tip and my real nail. I had this brilliant idea that I would buy some nail glue and just fill that space with glue. Well, I've glued myself to myself.  I glued my left ring finger to my right thumb nail. Then I glued my left index finger together at the first joint so I couldn't straighten it out. I'm such an idiot sometimes. :bonk: It never occurred to me that the glue was so thin it would just ooze out everywhere instead of staying in place. Now I have nail glue all over me and it's driving me crazy. I can't get it off.

That's right, little lady.

I'm putting off packing. We're moving this weekend to a new apartment (condo, actually), and the mere thought of all the manual labor ahead of us is making me tired.

I don't mind the unpacking part. Sometimes that's fun, figuring out where to put stuff and how to arrange things. But the packing and moving...eek.

that kinda made my head hurt a bit. I think that it's one of those poses you're taught to do so you look the best for photos.

I'll be thinking of you and your mom julie. They have a church retreat this weekend at my family's land so I will put her on the prayer list (I think it's still sitting on the table upstairs).
