I'm so tired I made tons of stuff tonight for tomorrow. Julie's hot cross buns, 7 layer salad, glazed ham, 3 cheesecakes, 5 gallons of sweet tea and mini chicken satays.

7 layer salad? I am intrigued - what is it?

Regarding the mini pinscher - I used to have a deer brown one, named Bruno. He looked like a minature dobermann. He had been treated badly by the previous owners and was kind of paranoid/ bi-polar. I had him for a while, but he didn't get better. He would always hide behind the sofa 24/7. I had to kneel on the floor next to his bowl, so he would eat. He was constantly shivering like I had -20 degrees in my apartment. My friends said, he needed doggie valium. I really tried, in the end I had to give him back to the animal shelter. It was so sad, I cried forever. he was such a cute and lovely dog. ust a bit mentally distturbed.

I like lap dogs - but if I had a big house on the countryside, I would get a big dog. But I live in a small downdown apartment, so if I want a dog, I have to go for a miniature one. :) I am currently thinking of getting a teacup chihuahua. Some poeple say they look like rats - I must say I find them rather cute :)

And here's a picture of bi-polar Bruno:

hubby worked this morning and after work he picked me up and we went out for lunch and then we went to pick up some flowers to go to the cemetery...

anywho, hubster said he wanted to go home and change into shorts... I knew it might be a bad idea but I also knew he was uncomfortable...

anywho, now I am waiting for him to get off his computer so we can go out :P he said he needed 10 to 20 minutes to "relax" :P

I'm so tired I made tons of stuff tonight for tomorrow. Julie's hot cross buns, 7 layer salad, glazed ham, 3 cheesecakes, 5 gallons of sweet tea and mini chicken satays.

7 layer salad? I am intrigued - what is it?

this is an example of a 7 layer salad .. I just found it on the Internet.... it is similar to one my mom makes... my mom adds some chopped up red bell pepper to hers too and some diced up hard-boiled eggs......

* 1 head lettuce, shredded

* 1/2 cup celery, diced

* 1/2 cup red onion, shredded

* 8 Ounces peas, frozen

* 2 tablespoons sugar

* 2 cups mayonnaise

* 4 ounces cheddar cheese, shredded

* 8 slices bacon, crumbled

1. Fry the bacon crisp, drain it and put on paper towel to remove as much grease as possible.

2. Shred the lettuce and spread in a layer on the bottom of a large salad bowl.

3. Add a layer of celery. Then a layer of red onion. Then a layer of frozen peas. Add the peas frozen, don't thaw them.

4. Keep each layer separate, don't mix together.

5. Mix the sugar and mayonnaise and spread in a layer on top of the peas.

6. Sprinkle the cheddar cheese over the mayonnaise layer.

7. Add the crumbled bacon on top.

8. Cover with food wrap or foil and refrigerate overnight.
