Well, it would normally be a 4 day weekend but used up a holiday day to extend it to 5 days!

Julie - well, I was asked and I said yes (although this was when I thought he'd contribute to costs! ) And I don't really mind the guy. I've only really just realised that I will miss my weekend cleaning sprees, though.

I just told my boss that I am turning 30 in January. It totally confused him.

A few days ago he complained about being old (he's 45) and I said - "well, you are not THAT much older than me, so you are not old" and he said, he could be my father. I only rolled my eyes on him.

Turns out today, he thought I was turning 25 in January. I had to show him my ID to prove that I am turning 30. He said he would have never thought that I am anywhere near 30. How nice (especially because we all know that he is not exactly a charmer...).

argh, hubby's new job isn't looking so rosy... he thinks he might be getting fired...

I guess they fired another guy they hired recently because the guy lied on his resume and he didn't pass his drug test so now the boss has turned his attention to my hubby.. (the boss isn't actually the guy who interviewed him)... hubby thinks the owner is wondering why they hired him when he doesn't have a lot of experience... thing is they knew that off the bat and said they would give him about a months training but now they are hinting around that they are going to send him out on his own soon, hubby thinks today...

it seems like they expect him to be an expert after only 2 weeks

my hubby has been super excited about this job but all last night and this morning he was so unhappy

I just found out my books are only going to be $200! I'm very excited by that number since I was expecting the worst

I'm sorry to hear your husband is so worried, Marilyn.

Hopefully they're thinking of sending him out alone because he's competent, and I would think that compared to the guy who lied on his resume and failed his drugs test that your husband actually looks like a very good employee. Fingers crossed!

on Wednesday they called hubby up and told him to not to come into work because everyone was out on service calls already.. he did work yesterday and today they called him again and told him not to come in because of the weather and they said everyone was out on service calls already...

what really sucks is that we are going to be a couple hundred dollars short on our next pay check.

they just need to come out and say if they want to keep him around or not so he can look for something else...

It does sound a bit dodgy, Marilyn. Maybe he should just send out some CVs to other companies for him to feel a litte better.
