I hardly ever wear make-up, but I do have a nice set of brushes for whenever I do. They should last a lifetime.

The most I've ever spent on an item of clothing is probably £40. I'd shell out a lot more for a decent winter coat, though. My friend once won £1200 of Topshop vouchers and took us on a shopping spree in London. That was great fun.

Now, books...I can rarely go into the bookstore without buying at least one book. Books are my material weakness.

I don't spend much money on cosmetics - not the decorative kind. But I do enjoy buying good quality face creams. You only have one skin

Also, I hardly ever go to the hair dresser. I cut and dye it myself.

Another self-hair-cutter! There seems to be quite a few of us on these forums.

I'm forbidden from dyeing my hair. My mother complimented my brothers when they bleached theirs, but I temporarily dye mine a dark purple with a scalp-friendly vegetable-based dye and all I hear for two years (months after the hair dye is washed out) is how pale it makes my skin look and how I'm damaging my hair and how it's a sacrilege and this and that. She swore she could still see the colour in my hair for about a year afterwards.

I can't fathom spending that much money on clothes either. I might spend that much in an entire year. I'm a major bargain shopper. I won't buy anything unless it's on sale. My favorite stores are TJ Maxx, Ross, and Marshall's. You can get name brand stuff for really cheap. Then my next favorite places to shop would be Old Navy, American Eagle, and Aeropostale but only if they are having a sale. I refuse to spend $40 or more on a shirt, pants, shorts, etc. I just won't do it. There are too many other things I could spend that money on.
