It's your money. You can do what you want. If that makes you happy...then so be it.

In stores I'm more likely to blow money on accessories or in Sephora. I could easily drop bucks in Sephora.

so I guess it's bad that I bought some jeans last week for $200?

Not bad at all. I just don't see the point when I can go get an almost exact same pair of jeans for $20. Clothes just haven't ever been something I want to pay a fortune for. I'd rather take that $200 and treat myself to a weekend away, buy a piece of furniture for my house, or something like that.

Just couldn't stay my @ss away!

Not in my opinion. People just have different priorities, that's all. My family handed down clothes and skimped on luxury items, but we had 2-3 holidays a year as my dad felt having a decent break was important. I had a friend who grumbled about how much better off we must be because her family could never afford a holiday - but they were always buying new electronic items, DVDs and making trips to London, so that was obviously where their priorities lay.

So long as people aren't going into severe debt I think they're allowed to spend their money as they see fit. We only live once, after all. The last couple of years all of my savings have gone on trips to see Alex and my parents, but if someone handed me $200 and told me to go buy a pair of jeans I'd happily do so. :star:

I'd go buy them, then return them the next day and spend the money on accessories and Sephora... LOL...maybe a pedicure thrown in there...
