Ok, I have a serious question here for you guys.... eliminating the rising cost of gas, do you find it's harder and harder to afford things? I was thinking about this this morning when they were doing some kind of feature on the morning news about saving money in these hard times and it got me thinking that hubster and I don't seem to be having any difficulties yet, as far as groceries or other necessities are concerned. Oh and BTW, we do NOT have high incomes (hubster is a teacher and I work for a non-profit organization), so it's not that we have lots of money. Just wondered how others are faring?

Since I don't drive, I can't really tell. I have noticed that the taxi prices went up though.

Food, especially bread and dairy products are a lot more expensive, I noticed. Because I don't have a car, I can't go and shop at the big, low cost supermarkets, so I have to go to the local one, which is one of the most expensive ones in town because the area is quite posh. So I go shopping every day after work and spend something between €20 - €30. If I go out for dinner and drinks, I spent about €40.

My Mom is complaining about the gas prices big time. She drives a small Renault Clio and to fill up the tank costs €130 (1 liter of gas €1.52). She used to drive to work everyday, for 30 mins. across town in the stop and go traffic. If she were still doing that on a daily basis, with the food prices going up, she would certainly have to shop more considerate.

morning all!

Good Morning Ambs!

Why are you up so early? You ok?

 I was up so early to watch Emma. She has an ear infection in both ears so my aunt only worked a half day. I just took my dogs (big one and puppy) for a really long walk. It was hell! Neither of them wanted to obey since they hate each other.

Life is a ticket to the greatest show on earth.

I started craving Reese's peanut butter cups near the end of my pregnancy. I hardly ever ate those and didn't care much about them. But I still love them now and just ate 2. They are my downfall now. Also Reese's peanut butter chocolate cereal.

Things I craved while pregnant are things I always liked, but more intensely liked and wanted while pregnant: chocolate, cheese, and milk. And the cereal I ate for months straight was Honey Bunches of Oats with Almonds(before trying the Reese's cereal!). And I still love the Honey Bunches cereal. And I still want chocolate all the time.

Married since 9-18-04(All K1 visa & GC details in timeline.)

my stomach would act very weird when I was pregnant... I never really threw up or anything but I always felt nauseous... and my stomach would be very picky on what it wanted to eat... it would drive my hubby crazy when we would go out to eat because i always knew what I didn't want to eat but I could never figure out what my stomach wanted.. oh and I couldn't stand chicken when I was pregnant.... my stomach would turn when my hubby would suggest eating at El Polo Loco.. but when I am not pregnant I love eating there ...
