Nessa don't worry about cleaning today just make a list for Charles and then go to the spa :P I had Neil empty the trash and do the dishes while I was asleep so the only things I need to do are vacuum and dust. I've vacuumed all the rooms but I don't want to do the stairs because I hate it so much. Anyone have any tricks for stair vacuuming to make is less of a hassle?

morning, well, afternoon :P . I woke up before 8, was at the doctor at 9, took me 2.5 hours for all that, doc - xray - meds - doc, what a pain, then I went return my CAC at the personnel office, went to the commissary, came back home, made my tiramisu, which I'm positive will be fantastic and started laundry. That's all I'm doing this weekend, and the cooking. I'll have the entire next week to start doing some serious cleaning, plus hubster already vacuumed some (at lweast he says so) yesterday, so we're good.

All I really wanna do this weekend is relax and enjoy not having to work. It's the best feeling the first unemployed week, then I start driving myself crazy. But I won't worry about that now.

hey nessa wanna go to nyc with me in June? my friend's baby shower is June 21 and I promised I would make the cake.

omg  I just found this when looking for baby shower cakes on google images

 r u really making that cake? If you're paying I'll go with you :P remember, I don't work so I can't afford to spend any more money than the usual.

my hubby has decided to hand in his resignation letter today... he is pretty sure he got the job because they told him you got the job if your background check clears....

we put his last working day as Sunday, May 4th.. my only concern is that isn't quite two weeks... two weeks would be Friday, May 9th... but he only works Friday to Sunday so technically May 4th will be 2 of his working weeks....

Marilyn -

That sounds risky. Why can't he wait to resign when the check clears? That doesn't sound like a clear offer.

because hubby told the guy he had to give his job two weeks notice and the guy at the new place wrote down the date two weeks from the day my hubby had his interview, which was last Tuesday.....

and my hubby has got the job.. there is nothing in his background check that would prevent him from getting the job.... it was a clear offer.. my hubby asked him so I got the job and the guy said yes if the background check clears....

sister marilyn, maybe he wants to rest up a bit...

the reason I am concerned about the two weeks notice is that he doesn't get his earned vacation pay if he doesn't give 2 weeks notice and I am not sure if they are going to particular about it...

Ah, you said 'pretty sure' above.

They will be. I'd say 2 weeks exactly & not risk it.
