March 7, 2005: I-129F NOA1

September 20, 2005: K-1 Interview in London. Visa received shortly thereafter.

AOS

December 30, 2005: I-485 received by USCIS

May 5, 2006: Interview at Phoenix district office. Approval pending FBI background check clearance. AOS finally approved almost two years later: February 14, 2008.

Received 10-year green card February 28, 2008

I admire the cake's liberal use of commas. Correct punctuation is often lacking on cakes these days!

my hubby has decided to hand in his resignation letter today... he is pretty sure he got the job because they told him you got the job if your background check clears....

we put his last working day as Sunday, May 4th.. my only concern is that isn't quite two weeks... two weeks would be Friday, May 9th... but he only works Friday to Sunday so technically May 4th will be 2 of his working weeks.... :unsure:

That sounds risky. Why can't he wait to resign when the check clears? That doesn't sound like a clear offer.
