I still haven't decided what I want to do with my hair but I found a cut I think I might try. What do you all think?

I also don't see you with that kind of haircut - too fringy and not feminine enough for you, me thinks.

Julie I want your job!

I want your family - let's swap for a few weeks and see how we go! :P

well my opinion about short hair is that it's for boys or lesbians. I really dislike ery short hair for women, with very few exceptions, like Katie Holmes looks great with her new short hair.

nessa we're on this weird same thought wave...I was about to say maybe katie holmes' style!

I will be a dissenter and say that you should go for a cut like this. Of course you wouldn't walk around with your eye covered. :P And it's all about styling too, it can be less edgy looking styled differently and more fun and edgy when you want it. I like edgy hair. My hair is too thick and wavy to get a cut like this, it never looks like pictures of haircuts I've wanted. My hair would look like a big puffy poof. I wish my hair was more choppy and edgy than it is.

I didn't want to start a whole thread to complain so I'll complain here.

:crying:

Our house has "sinkhole activity". Last October we started the investigation. We knew other people in our city with sinkhole problems and they told us to check out our house. So we did and saw some cracks on the outside, stairstep cracks as they call it with cinderblock houses. We noticed a few odd things inside too. We debated getting it checked out. We didn't want to open a can of worms but finally we knew we couldn't ignore it and contacted someone and started the process with our insurance. We got a public adjuster to represent us. In the end of November testing was done on our house. First radar testing, to find out what was going on underground, and then drilling and sample testing. It took them over 4 stinking months to finally tell us that YES we have sinkhole activity. Our insurance is Citizen's, a state insurance that was started due to ins carriers pulling out of FL and not insuring people. They want to fix our house, and are going to pump 250 cubic yards of grout under our house(at least).

It's been stressful, the process started while I was pregnant and so I just tried to ignore the whole situation and focus on the pregnancy. We just got the news yesterday. I tried ignoring the situation again, or pretending it's no big deal but it's not working.

This really really really stinks because we wanted to fix up some things in the house and then maybe move in the near future, knowing how hard it will be to sell with this market. But now it will be extra hard to sell our house or even break even if we try to sell it soon bc it will now be a "repaired sinkhole house". My family already moved to Alabama where we want to move. And now we are stuck here even longer and I am upset. Sujeet is upset too. I am so mad at Florida for having so many sinkholes and I am mad we even bought a house and mad that we have no idea when we can get out of here. And I am mad that soon there is going to be a bunch of loud machinery here for awhile pumping stuff under my house, while I have a little baby here. :(

Damn, that sucks!! You could always rent it out though. There are neighborhoods here that over time develop a lot of similar problems and the homes tend to become rentals.

We've def. considered that but there are two problems...

We got a special first time homebuyer program loan, with a nice low fixed interest rate, but they have a clause that you can't rent it out until a certain amount of years. I have to look up the info again to find out how many.

The other problem is our mortgage is higher than what this house would be to rent out. B/c of the stupid housing boom. Our mortgage is low compared to most new buyers but rents are still lower. I think you can rent a 4 bedroom nice house here for like 1000-1100/month. That's b/c of ppl who built right before the boom and have really low mortgages on those houses. Our house is only 2 bedroom(but roomy). And we'd need a little more than that to cover the mortgage.

Aw no. :( I was hoping you would be one of the lucky ones. I really cannot imagine the stress involved with feeling like you are ready to "go" and having this weight placed on your shoulders. I wish you the best in getting this straightened out.

I was at my limit with FL when we moved out of state, unfortunately - we are still carrying our mortgage, and its getting old. Renting just isn't somethign we can do with the precarious insurance converage in FL.

(F) Christina, I'm really sorry to hear that. I can't imagine the stress of the unknown when it comes to not only the housing market, but with repairs in the future. Best of luck to you getting everything sorted out so you can get closer to your goal of moving to Alabama.
