Yes, the phone works well. The problem with Comcast is that for a reason or another our bill is never just 139.20$...our last bill was almost 200$!! :help: What gets you is if you make some international calls every now and then or if you order a new release movie (they have an OnDemand section where the new movies cost 4.99$ each). The Internet works well too. As I said, overall they are ok, but the Dish would save you a lot of money for way more channels and options. Also another thing you might want to consider for the phone is Vonage...We used to have it and loved it, we never had a problem with it. It basically works with a fast internet connection and it is only 24.99$ a month. We disconnected because we went to Italy for 6 months, then when we got back we signed up for the 33x3 deal, but we are planning to go back to it. They used to have free international calls for 5 European countries too (Italy, UK and I don't rememeber where else lol), I think now they just have monthly plans for like 10$, btw it is all on their website

Vonage

Dishnetwork

DirectTv

Also recently some new company started advertising on TV but I know nothing about it, maybe they are not even new I simply never noticed until recently...anyways...they are called Cavalier and they claim they have the lowest prices.

Hope it helps. :star:

We live in Towson, it looks like it is about 77 miles away from you guys...not too close but not too far either

Thanks for that, extremely helpful :D I will be telling Chris all about this, this evening :D

I have heard of vonage... But I thought it might be cheaper to do the three in one thing... I wonder if Comcast do just an internet and cable package?

Ah my Dad lives near Towson :D He lives in a place called Upperco in Baltimore County (No-one ever seems to know where that is though!!! )

Hmm, coffee. That's a great idea. But now I just don't think it's gonna taste the same without the cinnamon roll

There you go Tash, all yours! (L)

My colleague put a band aid around my fingertip and went to Starbux to get me a cinnamon roll (warmed up for me :luv: ) and that eased the pain ;)

You're welcome :star:

It might be cheaper to do the 33x3, you kinda need to compare the different packages. At the time it would have been MUCH cheaper for us to go with Dish and Vonage, but we haven't looked into that for a long time now since ehrm...can't put the dish on my balcony <_< I really wanted it because it is the only one that offers the only Italian channel abroad...bt anyways...

I heard about Upperco!!!!!! I think we even see signs at times when we drive around! You guys should come see us in Towson, it is a very very pretty place with lots to do and a 4 story mall right across the street from us...

ETA: You need to check the section called 'bundle" on comcast to see the different packages they have, also that Cavalier indeed looks cheap but I haven't checked out the fine print....

I'd like to do something different with our phone and internet but I don't know what. We have AT&T for phone and internet and Dish Network for tv. We could get internet through Dish but it's not any cheaper than what we have now. We can't cancel our phone and do Vonage because when we cancel our phone we'd also be canceling our internet. Then we've thought about completely canceling our phone and just using our cell phones but then we'd have no internet since they go together. It's like a never ending circle.

u get vonage up there in the woods? wow... u don't even have gas

Yes we have gas. It runs right down the main highway in front of my house. It just costs a friggin fortune to run the lines up to my house. It's easier to have electric appliances and such. Although, one of these days I might consider doing gas. I really like using it to cook, it's so much faster. We only have a monitor heater to heat the house with and I think gas would be a much cheaper option for that also.

And yeah, we have Vonage but that's it. No ComCast, no Time Warner Cable, no Cable at all for that matter, no Verizon, nothing. It sucks living in the boonies sometimes.

Just couldn't stay my @ss away!

Yes definitely! I love Towson mall :D

The thing with Upperco is... It's HUGE. I don't even think the people that actually live in Upperco know where it starts and where it ends
