I have 2 recipes, one with creme de leite (crema de leche, in spanish) I can find here at Wal-Mart only. It says it's table ream, but don't buy any other kind of american table cream cuz it's totally different.

nestlemediacremakh1.jpg

If you can't find this creme de leite, then I'll post a second recipe that has no creme de leite.

Arroz doce cremoso:

- 2 cups rice (long grain white rice)

- 2 cups white sugar

- 2 egg yolks

- 1 can sweet condensed milk (I use Eagle Brand fat free)

- 1 can creme de leite

- 2 L milk (2 liters = 67.62 US fluid ounces)

- cinnamon sticks

Mix well raw rice with yolks. Put in a sauce pan with 4 cus of milk and 1 cinnamon stick, medium heat. Let it boil. Keep adding milk little by little. Always stir.

Let the rice cook until it's creamy. Then add the sweet condensed milk, creme de leite and for last the sugar. Get rid of the cinnamon stick.

Serve in cups. Sprinkle with ground cinnamon.

EDIT: I forgot to put the creme de leite.

I have other recipes, but it's pretty much the same, except it has no creme de leite. You can add another can of sweet condensed milk and cut the sugar, like add only 1/2 cup of sugar instead of 2. that'll be good.

the creme de leite just makes it more creamy.

Julie, you asked for banana-da-terra recipes, I have another one. We usually eat when we cook feijoada, in Brazil (feijoada is a beans stew with meat and sausage). The complete feijoada has beans stew (the feijoada itself) served with white rice, farofa (it's made with manioc flour and bacon), orange and banana a milanesa.

Banana a milanesa:

- 5 bananas

- 1 egg (whisk)

- sugar

- ground cinnamon

- 2 cups bread crumbs, unseasoned

- oil (to deep fry)

Cut the bananas in half, lengthwise.

In a separate bowl have the eggs, whisked.

In another bowl have the bread crumbs mixed with cinnamon and sugar.

Dip bananas in egg mixture (always slice by slice), then dip in the bread crumbs/cinnamon/sugar mixture.

Deep fry.

Put in a plate with paper towel to absorb the oil. At last dip bananas in a mix of sugar and cinnamon.

Eat and then exercise to burn the fat :P
