just heard from hubby... the job sounds promising... he said it pays just over a dollar an hour less then what he makes now but once he gets more experience and works there longer he will get paid more..

my only problem is that the job doesn't offer health insurance  .. that really freaks me out.... I guess we might have to look into getting our own health insurance...

also he gets a company truck which he can even take home which means that I would have a car...

hubby said the guy is really laid back and seems that he would be easy to work for.... and is willing to wrok around my hubby's school schedule...

the guy had a few more people to interview but hubby said the guy basically offered him the job....

Marilyn - definitely look into insurance before he decides - it is quite costly to pay on your own.

this job would give him great experience though... I really don't want to discourage him...

did I mention that I'm tired? this babysitting is tough. no kids for me for a long long time.

oh yes being a momma is hard work. No matter how much you get told that you really never truly know until you have a little one to watch over and you don't have an option of handing him back. Just Kidding! I love him to reeses pieces! I need to go take a shower. I could wake up early to do it but somehow doing it now seems like a better option.

Oh and I took the relationship banker position. The hours and benefits are awesome.

Congrats, Nizzy!

Thanks! I took your words and went with it. It's a completely different avenue for me but I am open to anything and see this as an awesome opportunity to grow. It's not social work but it is stability, and I can't pass that up.

ok. if he gets this job and we get our own insurance, will hubby's high blood pressure be considered a pre-existing condition?? right now he takes medication for it...

I am just wondering if they will cover the cost of the medication...

any condition you have is a pre-existing condition because it already exists. so if the plan you get doesn't cover pre-existing conditions for a certain amount of time you will have to pay for those out of pocket but some plans the pre-existing conditions only count if there is a gap in the time that you have health coverage

Marilyn,

Depends on the plan you purchase.

Check into the pre-existing conditions for the policy you are thinking of. Some have a 3, 6 or 9 month exclusion period. Soome will say they will never cover.
