Good morning ladies,

I am trying to muster up the strength to write this as it is a very difficult thing to admit to anyone let alone myself. Whatever was left of my relationship after my SO had a huge fallout two months ago is completely done. We are through and it seems he doesn't want anything to do with my baby either. There isn't much left to say other than I am devastated, I thought there might be a chance that we could work things out.

In any case, my question is since my petition is still at VSC and has not been approved yet, is there anything I should do to cancel it, or should I just let it run its course and let it expire after it is approved (if its ever approved)?

I was reading a previous post where someone mentioned that maybe these delays happen for a reason, like God is trying to tell you something and I guess in my case it seems to be that way. It has been almost 4 1/2 months since I applied and no approval nor an RFE, so I guess maybe God is trying to tell me something.

Michelle

Michelle,

I'm so sorry to hear this. Keep your head up and trust that GOD has the perfect plan in store for you. I'm not going to tell you that it was for the best, because I don't know what God's plan is for you and your family. I'm praying that even if a relationship is not the plan for you and him, that there is a plan for him to be a part of his daughter's life. Our timetable is certainly not God's. Stay faithful and humble through prayer.

Take care of yourself and your baby. Lay down your burden...and let God. MUCH LOVE, JAWI

oh mommy!! I am so sorry for your pain!

I wish I could say something as equally awesome as Jawi...but...you know...

Im praying for you!

hey guys! I logged in and I have over 100 pages to catch up on!! Im not sure I will make it!

How is everyone? Doing well I hope!!!!\

I have missed you guys! It just got too much to log on here and check the I-130 thread and see all these people so upset and then I would get upset when petitioners months after our timeline were approved and I was still sitting in the black hole! I probably wont be on a lot either because I just cant get as obsessed over it as I was!

I have some news.... FINALLY....

I got notification today that my case (after 10 months) has been transferred from VSC to CSC for processing. It seems they are doing that with petitions in sept, oct, and nov. of 2007. SO THIS MIGHT FINALLY BE MY TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! pray for us!!!

Hey guys, I am at work right now and I know you all are chatting up a storm but wanted to share this little chuckle with you all. Enjoy and I will catch up later

The Bathing Suit

When I was a child in the 1960s the bathing suit for the mature figure was boned, trussed and reinforced, not so much sewn as engineered. They were built to hold back and uplift and they did a good job.

Today's stretch fabrics are designed for the prepubescent girl with a figure carved from a potato chip. The mature woman has a choice --she can either go up front to the maternity department and try on a floral suit with a skirt, coming away looking like a hippopotamus who escaped from Disney's Fantasia or she can wander around every run-of-the-mill department store trying to make a sensible choice from what amounts to a designer range of fluorescent rubber bands.

What choice did I have? I wandered around, made my sensible choice, and entered the chamber of horrors known as the fitting room. The first thing I noticed was the extraordinary tensile strength of the stretch material.

The lycra used in bathing costumes was developed, I believe, by NASA to launch small rockets from a slingshot, which give the added bonus that if you manage to actually lever yourself into one, you are protected from shark attacks as any shark taking a swipe at your passing midriff would immediately suffer whiplash.

I fought my way into the bathing suit, but as I twanged the shoulder strap in place, I gasped in horror -- my boobs had disappeared!

Eventually, I found one ####### cowering under my left armpit. It took a while to find the other. At last I located it flattened beside my seventh rib. The problem is that modern bathing suits have no bra cups. The mature woman is meant to wear her boobs spread across her chest like a speed bump. I realigned my speed bump and lurched toward the mirror to take a full view assessment. The bathing suit fit all right, but unfortunately it only fit those bits of me willing to stay inside it. The rest of me oozed out rebelliously from top, bottom, and sides. I looked like a lump of play dough wearing undersized cling wrap.

As I tried to work out where all those extra bits had come from, the prepubescent sales girl popped her head through the curtain, 'Oh, there you are,' she said, admiring the bathing suit. I replied that I wasn't so sure and asked what else she had to show me.

I tried on a cream crinkled one that made me look like a lump of masking tape, and a floral two piece which gave the appearance of an oversized napkin in a serving ring. I struggled into a pair of leopard skin bathers with ragged frills and came out looking like Tarzan's Jane, pregnant with triplets and having a rough day. I tried on a black number with a midriff and looked like a jellyfish in mourning. I tried on a bright pink pair with such a high cut leg I thought I would have to wax my eyebrows to wear them.

Finally, I found a suit that fit ... a two-piece affair with a shorts style bottom and a loose blouse-type top. It was cheap, comfortable, and bulge-friendly, so I bought it. My ridiculous search had a successful outcome, I figured.

When I got home, I found a label which read -- 'Material might become transparent in water.'

So, if you happen to be on the beach or near any other body of water this year and I'm there too, I'll be the one in cut off jeans and a T-shirt!

You'd better be laughing or rolling on the floor by this time.

'Life isn't about how to survive the storm, but how to dance in the rain.'

ROOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLLLLIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNN!!!! ROTFPUMPSDWL!!!! :rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

We have been talking about relationships and how to endure. Here is a litle story to share that might give us another perspective on the truee meaning of love.

How to Dance in the Rain

>

It was a busy morning, about 8:30, when an elderly gentleman in his 80's arrived to have stitches removed from his thumb. He said he was in a hurry as he had an

appointment at 9:00 am.

I took his vital signs and had him take a seat, knowing it would be over an hour before someone would to able to see him. I saw him looking at his watch and decided, since I was not busy with another patient, I would evaluate his wound. On exam, it was well healed, so I talked to one of the doctors, got the needed supplies to remove his sutures and redress his wound.

>

While taking care of his wound, I asked him if he had another doctor's appointment this morning, as he was in such a hurry.

>

The gentleman told me no, that he needed to go to the nursing home to eat breakfast with his wife. I inquired as to her health and he then told me that she had been there

for a while and was a victim of Alzheimer's Disease.

>

As we talked, I asked if she would be upset if he was a bit late and he replied that she no longer knew who he was, that she had not recognized him in five years now. I was surprised, and asked him, 'And you still go every morning, even though she doesn't know who you are?'

>

He smiled as he patted my hand and said, 'She doesn't know me, but I still know who she is.'

>

I had to hold back tears as he left, I had goose bumps on my arm, and thought, 'That is the kind of love I want in my life.' True love is neither physical, nor romantic.

>

True love is an acceptance of all that is, has been, will be, and will not be.

>

With all the jokes and fun that are in e-mails, sometimes there is one that comes along that has an important message. This one I thought I could share with you.

>

The happiest people don't necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the best of everything they have.

I hope you share this with someone you care about. I just did.

>

'Life isn't about how to survive the storm, but how to dance in the rain.'

Set a goal so big that if you achieved it, it would blow your mind.

Alright Ty 2 weeks til your approval!!

Dillon I know you are psyched about them cashing your check. Try not to obsess on checking for the touches but look forward to those emails!

Welcome Journee and momto2 this site will definitely help you past the time while you wait on your love to get home or vice versa. Don't forget to read the guides and when in doubt do a specific word search of the site. It is soo helpful

JG where did you say we can get this orgasmic tea in a cup? Did you post a website a while back?

Lawny I'm sorry to hear about your mail coming back. Remember trouble don't last always and this will soon pass.

WAKEY.. wha gwaan?? how is Dwayne.. u know some of us have to live vicariously through u when it comes to a SO at home..u gonna hate to come on VJ in a min w/ all my questions LOL

Hey Everyone!

I miss you guys. Adjustment is work like all the Vets said. I'm consumed with trying to get the wedding all set for 8/30. We will be having a small ceremony at the house.

We are having so much fun. We are watching movies and taking long walks with the dog and just talking and laughing. The other stuff is also the bomb too.

So yesterday we were talking about the air conditioner again! He said the comforter (not thick at all mind you) is too heavy and he likes to just sleep with a sheet like back home. Well, I like to sleep cold as a polar bear under the comforter. So we compromised and turned the air down to 78-79. I get up this morning sweating like I'd been running on the tread mill in my dreams. It turns out while I'm asleep Dwayne turned the air down to 85! WTH. That is heat inna di heat!

VETS, I need some advise on the cooking and introduction to American food. What did your husband's like when they first came over? I've tried meatloaf and spagetti, my fish was too garlicy, and an omelet for breakfast. He has cooked every other meal for us traditional Jamaican. I'm not complaining but there is only so much boiled dumplings and rice and peas meals I can take. I want to add variety to the menu.

Hey wakey,

Sounds like you 2 are having fun.

Well on the AC note:

I hate AC too! I cannot stand it. How hot is it at night there that you keep your Ac at 75? Remember that it is hard for someone to go from warm weather all the time to manufactered air. Its not just cold air, but its artificial. It can be hard to breathe and very hard on the skin, an lungs for some. So maybe you guys get a fan and leave the AC a bit higher. 74 is low.

On the Food issue:

Well my husband loves "American" (whatever that is) food so we're all good. How bout your try Asian food dishes with rice and gravys or chopped meats with potatoes and carrots and such. I find many JA foods very heavy and hard to eat. But if your use to that some American meals can feel really light and non-filling.

I have to have a fan on for the noise. We turn the air higher cause of it. Hubby complains every night that he can't sleep cause of the fan noise....about 10 seconds before he falls sound asleep.

Ugh! I hate noise when I sleep. I cant get into an REM sleep when there is noise. I need my brain to shut down at night.

LMAO..... R. Kelly said he is going to sex you in the kitchen on the counter near the buttered rolls....LOL

Roxcie, maybe you should tell Joe that, when you see him your gonna sex him near the buttered rolls, wonder what he would say....LOL????

When I go back, I'm taking me a red ribbon. I need to un-wrap that package.

Roxcie

Take a cat suit. Ask Lawny which one you should buy? lol

A CAT suit, that would take too much effort to get off. I need him to save his energy for other things, no what I mean.

Roxcie

Ok you guys GOT TO start taking crazy sexy pics of yourself and sending them to you SO's. I take shots and edit them so that the coloring is off and graphically it looks like art and put them in the cars i send hubby. he loves them, and they dont really look like me from the editing so no one can take them and do something with them later

Not a chance in hell I would've done that. First it has to get through the JA post office. Secondly, there was 11 other people in that household and about 4 people who trasition in and out. Too many prying eyes for my taste. And, most were children.

haha, I dont mind. The pics dont look like me, and I'm not naked or anything.haha
