HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY NANNY

I hope you enjoyed your day

and thanks brownnskin.....i had a good day...it was nice to be with the family...although the cake was not nearly as nice as the one classy gave me.... :D

The cake your mom made probably tasted a whole lot yummier though! I don't really like the taste of fondant, I'd rather have sugary greasy frosting from home.

Good evening everyone!!!!

Good luck wishes to you Gill!!!!!!!!

Jax - the first time is sooooooooo exciting. When is he going? Are you going?

It's been two years since Damien been home.

We are going when he is done with summer school. Thinking the end of July start of August. He is going the first week alone and then Jaylyn and I will be traveling down the next week. So he is staying 2 weeks and I am staying one week. I wish we could afford the El Greco but we will be staying away from the beach. I forgot the name of the hotel. Yeah we will see if we go next year with the baby and everything. We thought Grandma should see the baby. She has no family left in Jamaica so it will be nice to visit her. I am hoping she will take Jaylyn for the weekend so I can go to the beach and hang out. I am excited to hangout with my friends too. This will be also the longest time for me away from my friends. I am use to going once a year and it will be a little over a year. I am hoping we can go other places beside Jamaica someday. Maybe Disney World in the next couple of years.

Did you go when he went done for the first time? Does he not want to go back now?

My mother, aunt and I went back with him the first trip March 2006. That was the first time our families met. It was nice but a short trip.

We went back that July for Sumfest. 13 of our friends went with us...they stayed 4 nights. We toured JA while Damien was visiting his friends and family during the day and we all partied every night. I stayed two extra nights...just me and him....no interruptions. He end up staying for extra 4-5 nights with his brothers.

I went back with some friends last July but he did not want to go. Too many pressures from his family. We're going the first week in August. He's now excited.

It sounds like everyone is going back the first week of August. Mindy is also going that week. I am glad we have a small family. Hubby is just bring down dog chains for his Kaos family group. Boys :whistle:

Try having 3 brothers who wears the same size as you  Damien came home almost naked the first trip. He learned his lesson the 2nd trip. Let's see what will happen this August...

Yeah, we're landing the same time as Mindy. Maybe we'll have a quick group hug before they leave for Kingston.

I am waiting on Dwains schedule for school before we buy our tickets. Wow the same time did you guys plan that ;). LOL naked I can believe it. I hope he comes home with some clothes on this time. We are you guys staying in MoBay?

Alright I really need to go to bed I am so tired. Wishing it was Friday only 24 days more to work.:dance: Spring Break come soon please.

Good night. I'm tired too.

ok this is the third time, i'm typing this message, the baby want to typE too and she keep deleting my message,

all that to say,

Kimmy - mi agree wid you

Lawny vex cause she never get no dinner yesterday!!

Jamaica needs to go back to church...di whole island...the U.S. needs to go back to church also...did you all see that the governer of NY..was soliciting whores...FBI got a hold of his text messages...anyhoo..what bugs me the most about america is how they let foreigners come of here and tell them what to do. I cannot go to Isreal and tell them to keep stores open on saturdays so why should they be allowed to say American cannot have school prayer...and it wasn't just them..don't want to seem like i'm picking on a particular group...everyone gets all caught up in the whole seperation of church and state thing..when this country was supposedly founded by a regligous group or colonized I should ...talking about the Puritians...who established schools with prayer in them...I'm not even saying everyone needs to pray to god "let everyone pray to their god" and the atheitists can stand and think about nothing as they belive in no hell or no heaven.

uummm just realized I got a bit heavy for a Monday evening...but just my views...

Jengs, I totally agree with you. Jamaica has changed so much. Remember the days when everybody had to go to church, whether it be Saturday or Sunday. Your grandmother made sure you did. We had devotion in school every morning before clas and it was instilled into us growing up.

You take prayer out of school and the kids go bad. When they shoot up the school, what is the first thing they do? They fall on their knees and call upon the one person they should have taught and intsilled into these kids. They have no salvation, so the devil does his evil work through them. We have to teach these kids about God and prayer and bring back prayer into schools--to prevent these tragedies from happening.

Me jump dun offa me podium now :lol:

Sorry to hear about your Grandma Jamie! (F)

I guess one thing I dislike about the USA, 90% of the strollers are puke green!!

please don't all stone me at once!

Hey  I just bought a green one with frogs. It was the cheapest one around and my favorite color is green so it works for me.

Ok I am headed off to lunch but had a topic I wanted to throw out there...

Would you still file AOS or removing conditions for your spouse if things in the marriage didn't work out between the two of you? Take out all the factors of them just coming for a green card and all that. It was a genuine bona fide marriage but it just didn't work between the two of you. Would you file to let them stay here?

What factors would or wouldn't cause you to file for them?

(Please don't read more into this than there is in regard to my personal situation...I am genuinely just curious and wonder what others would do in the situation.)

Well, considering AOS should really be filed before the I-94 expires and he is out of status, I would say Hell no. If my marriage can't last 90 days, it couldn't have been very bonafide in the first place. And, honestly, I would not accept any reasoning whatsoever at this point.

Now, if you are talking about Lifting of Conditions......2 years later, that would be a different story for me. I'd still say NO; but at least he could file a waiver and file for himself. I would not oppose his petition.

My husband told me he would go back to Jamaica if that would ever happen. With the CR1 there is no AOS. So they already have their green card once they arrive.

I thought if u've been married less than 2yrs u get a conditional greencard...thats's i'm going thru it right now

Good Morning. I can't believe we are back to another Monday <_<

Congrats and Happy Birthday to Shauna!!! What a wonderful weekend for you

Well my weekend didn't go as planned. My mom was out of town and she is my grandmother's primary advocate while she is in an assisted living home. Anyways my grandma was having a lot of trouble so then I got to step in and play my mothers role alongside my aunt. Trust me it is disgusting the way the elderly are treated :ranting: I just can't believe it. My grandma gained 10 pounds in 4 days and not one of the nurses noticed. Her belly was all extended and her ankles were the size of her thighs. This happened on Wed. so my mom threw a fit and got my gma on some new meds and the docs told the assisted living people that my gma was to be weighed every single day to make sure her lungs weren't filling up with fluid. Anyways I get a call on Friday night that my gma gained 4 pounds in ONE day and she was already on a double dose of the meds. Ugh it made me so mad. The nurses then tried to convince my gma that it was her fault because she wasn't going to the bathroom enough. She called my crying on Saturday telling me about how they keep telling her to go to the bathroom but she doesn't need to go. She was having all this trouble breathing and was turning blue - while on full oxygen. She asked if she should go to the hospital but the damn nurse told her there was nothing the hospital could do that they couldn't and she just needed to go to the bathroom and she would feel better. My gma was so distraught she called me and told me she was going to drown. I was furious. I channeled my inner Gill and went and had quite the talk with those nurses  How dare they make my gma feel bad for something she can't control. I can't believe the treatment she is getting and my family is paying so much for her to be in this place. Can you believe it is one of the top facilities in our county?!? Imagine the care she would be getting elsewhere...unbelievable. So if you could all keep her in your prayers that they can find a way to stop this fluid from collecting in her lungs that would be great. I know she probably doesn't have a lot of time left on this earth but I at least want her to go out comfortable and well taken care of. Thanks (F)

So anyways that is how I spent my weekend. Not what I expected but glad I could be there for my gma. Hope you all had a good weekend.

Hey Yardie, sorry to hear about your grandma. :crying: How could these professionals be so cold and uncouth? Why are you in the healthcare business if you do not have compassion for older, sickly people. That is what is wrong with our society today--no respect for our elders. It is all about making the money without fullfilling their obligation to their clients.:angry:

Telling her to go to the bathroon if she can't? Bwoy I tell you. Some people :wacko:

Yardie, not to scare or frighten you. If she has congestive heart failure, maybe it is at it's endstage. You say her ejection fraction (the pumping ability of the heart) is low. Even if they triple her diuretics (water pills), it might not make a difference, because your heart has to be able to pull that fluid out of your vascular sytem and pump it to your kidneys and then the kidneys filter out the watse and it comes out as urine. Is she being evaluated by a doctor? Whenever people are on diuretics, they are supposed to get daily weights. How could she have gained 10 lbs in four days without them knowing? :o:o What kinda of system do they have set up to moinitor fluid intake and loss? I am so mad :angry: right now, I might not be too sensitive right now. Not directed at you though, just the system. More and more of these facilities are being exposed for the slackness that happens there. They treat these people like trash. Can you imagine what happens to those people who have no family?

I know this situation suck really bad, but you guys have to keep closer monitoring on her. Light fire under their asses and let them give you what you are paying for. I do not know what you guys schedule ia like, but you all should take turn and pop in and see what else they are neglecting. I am so pissed right now, me head hurts.

Sorry for the rant, but I hope she feels better soon as this fluid issue gets resolved.

Much Love
