Nanny, I am actually going to pick out the crib and dresser/changing table hopefully next weekend. I've bought things for the baby but not yet for the room. My family said to just wait until the baby shower, which is not going to be until early september but its hard for me to wait that long, I want everything to be ready NOW (just a little anxious).

I did buy the carseat and stroller myself cause I knew the one I wanted was a bit on the expensive side and I did not want to impose that price tag on anyone. I ended up getting this:

Hey sunny... I'm actually about to go to sleep.. but wanted to say hey before I left since its just me and you right now.

hey Mommy thanks

I know how u feel..but good idea to wait til the shower..then u will have a better idea on what u need and what u don't. BTW i love that stroller....

the crib u can buy...i too think that a crib is a little personal unless the Godmother or ur family or close friend wants to take u to buy it

Mi cyaan sleep and dere's noone here fi chat...wha mi ago do?:wacko: I'm sitting here trying 2 decide on what 2 do for our 1st anniversary. I talked to my husband 2day and he doesn't care what we do as long as it doesn't involve us being bothered by friends and family. Although I'm not all that crazy about Mobay I was thinking of just hiding out there for a few days. I was looking at some of the hotels there. Any suggestions? I was considering El Greco, but I don't know anything about it. The only other place we've stayed in is Toby's, but we can't cook there, and I'm looking for a place that less touristy where we can cook...God willing we will be spending our next annivesary stateside Edited by Mrs. Palmer

I can't help you with the Hotels in Mobay. I've only stayed in one, it was the Glorianna. We stay there once for the last two days before I left. My husband called him self being selfish and not wanting to share me with his family and friends.

My husband and I have stayed at El Greco many times. It is not upscale, but all rooms have kitchens. The hotel is adjacent to a tunnel that connects to the Hip Strip. All guests get free breakfast (Jamaican or American) as well as passes to Doctor's Cave Beach. If you decide to stay there, have your husband make the reservation in his name. As long as he has Jamaican ID, the hotel will give him a local rate. Otherwise, tourists are charged more. El Greco also has a small pool if you don't feel like leaving the compound. Let me know if you have any more questions.

I love that. Don't get me wrong I love his family, and I like hanging with some of his friends...but I prefer our private time...since there is so little of it, we usually try 2 make the most of it between us
