Good morning Honeychild, now I know why I am on this site this morning, I don't have any children to entertain me. I am generally working along with reading VJ, so what is your story.

Hi everyone

I posted this somewhere else and was directed here, so I post again. I am new to the visa process and have read the guides and faq's

I have a few questions.......but you should first know that we are not applying until late January/early February '09 and please forgive me if the info is posted somewhere and I don't see it.

1. Does Jamaica accept co-sponsors? And if so, anyone have experience with it?

2. I don't see anything asking if there will be a co-sponsor on the I-129 or I-134, should the co-sponsor be filling out everything I do or just the I-134?

3. Does the co-sponsor need to be living in my household? Mine will be my mother who does not live with me and my 2 kids, but does live in the same town.

4. At what point would the I-864 be used, or how would I determine that> Will the USCIS or consulate let me know?

5. At this point the only evidence we have is photos with dates, iteineraries, receipts from Jamaica....will that be enough to establish evidence or should we work on getting him an email account now?

6. At what point does the police record and medical exam come in? And how do we get them?

7. What about government assistance (specifically section 8)? If you have section 8 housing subsidy (but are using a co-sponsor) will that be grounds for denial? Should I ditch it now and get a place with my parents?

THanks for any and all help.

Welcome!!!

1.Yes, Jamaica does accept co-sponsors

2.Co-sponsor only fills out I-134

3. No, the co-sponsor does not need to live in the same household. However, they must list any dependents they have in their household. Ie, if you had a little brother who your mother is financially responsible for, your mother would have to show she had enough money to support that child as well.

4. That evidence should be good to go, but with Jamaica, more is DEFINITELY better!

5. When he goes for his interview. He has to get his police record from the Jamaica COnstanbulary force in Kingston, but you don't need to worry about that JUST yet!

The Embassy will give him a letter to book his medical. Be aware he will either need a non-impediment to marry form or a divorcee decree if he's been married before

6. Govt assistance is not an issue since you have a co-sponsor.

I'm lovin the pic that youh ave up now! She is too cute. Well I still have not spoken a word to the "friend" she came her ####### a few days after I moved out. I let the landlord deal with her. The new place is so nice, big, brand new, and peaceful. I am a much happier person. I didn't realise how much I was being brought down! Anyways..... how and you? Did you get anymore info on school?

that is great that you were able to move out and move on with your life!! So happy for you!! I still can't believe she did that to you!! I start in a couple of weeks! I am excited to start and begin a new adventure!! 3 out of my 4 classes will be online which will be great!! Kaila is surely growing up! She is already turning over from back to belly and to back again so changing her has become interesting  but worth every second!!!

Hey everyone, today is perfect day to stay home, its pouring rain right now in nyc. Too bad I can't sit still for too long...have to go get some more baby stuff. :)

Nanny, I also think your avatar pic is so cute, and Kaila is turning over already! aww she's a big girl now. :luv:

Hey Renee! So glad everything is working out with your new place and don't worry about your "friend", she will get hers eventually.

Welcome Mrsladyd!

Thanks!!! She amazes me everday with new things she does...her newest trick is eeing how high her voice can go!!! I can't believe you are soo close!!! Have you started to decorate her room yet?

And later I will be going shopping to buy more, lol. My birthdays Monday and my parents gave me some $$$$. YAYYYYY!

I had to show him the part that plugs into the ipod all he could say was i thought it was black.

Hehehe....Missa Jengs has special color blindness  Yeah, my son is color blind has trouble with blue/purple, red/orange/pink and browns. Poor kid used to have to read the crayons in school when they had to do the color by # so as not to get in trouble.
