Hopefully, they'll do fine. I hope of the calls from JA cut down. I mean, dang when are you guy's suppose to be able to live your lives.

OMG>..i love the convenience of braids but hate hate hate taking them down. Mind you i started on Tuesday...LOL... it's just that it is so hot in JA, and i like to swim it is more convenient. I think when i go in Oct. Im going to wear my own hair and just deal with it, and if i swim, it will be a " cute" swim, the kind where your hair doesnt get wet...LOL

NYCGIRL...yes, i know what ur hubby is saying... i remember when i was a kid and barrel used to come..my my those clothes smell sooo good...when i got here...i wondered what happened to the sweet smelling clothes

NYC ...I have te reverse issue. I love when I come from JA and EVERYTHING has that sweet Jamaican smell pon it! The first night I would come back from JA I would hug up a piece of clothing out of my suitcase and fall off to sleep!

I used to love when I stepped outside of Sangster...I would just inhale and smile!

Never heard of a farrin smell...though I suppose it is possible!

Do your guys ever tell you that when clothes came in the barrel or suitcase from "farrin", they have a special farrin smell. My husband said that whenever things would come from farrin, they would have a certain smell. The sweetest smell in di world, he said. I thought that was so strange, but his whole family concurs. Ever heard of that??

I was going there once a month. Everyone pretty much noticed I was gone. Plus, I was happy. There was just too much to say and too many experiences to share.

I guess I have never been one of those people who brought pics to her desk of family or BF's. I like people to question my life at work....does that make sense? Keeps it interesting when they know nothing about me...haha.

Things I am Thankful for.....

FOR THE WIFE

WHO SAYS IT'S HOT DOGS TONIGHT,

BECAUSE SHE IS HOME WITH ME,

AND NOT OUT WITH SOMEONE ELSE.

FOR THE HUSBAND

WHO IS ON THE SOFA

BEING A COUCH POTATO,

BECAUSE HE IS HOME WITH ME

AND NOT OUT AT THE BARS.

FOR THE TEENAGER

WHO IS COMPLAINING ABOUT DOING DISHES

BECAUSE IT MEANS SHE IS AT HOME,

NOT ON THE STREETS.

FOR THE TAXES I PAY

I HEAR ABOUT THE GOVERNMENT

WE HAVE FREEDOM OF SPEECH..

FOR THE PARKING SPOT

I FIND AT THE FAR END OF THE PARKING LOT BECAUSE IT MEANS I AM CAPABLE OF

WALKING AND I HAVE BEEN BLESSED WITH TRANSPORTATION.

FOR MY HUGE HEATING BILL

BECAUSE IT MEANS

I AM WARM.

FOR THE LADY BEHIND ME IN CHURCH

WHO SINGS OFF KEY BECAUSE IT MEANS

I CAN HEAR.

FOR THE PILE OF LAUNDRY AND IRONING

BECAUSE IT MEANS

I HAVE CLOTHES TO WEAR.

FOR WEARINESS AND ACHING MUSCLES

AT THE END OF THE DAY

BECAUSE IT MEANS I HAVE BEEN

CAPABLE OF WORKING HARD.

FOR THE ALARM THAT GOES OFF

IN THE EARLY MORNING HOURS

BECAUSE IT MEANS I AM ALIVE.

And this one has gotten me through a few painful break ups. I use it from time to time to empower and remind me that I am so much stronger then I ever thought I could be. I think it is perfect for day to day life....

Comes The Dawn

After a while you learn the subtle difference

Between holding a hand and chaining a soul,

And you learn that love doesn’t mean leaning

And company doesn’t mean security,

And you begin to learn that kisses aren’t contracts
