I bought my husband up here Feb 08, thinking what we really had was a marriage. Come to find out that we really didnt. Once he located his family and established relationships he moved a couple states away. What can I do, could i send him back? I discovered that he neither his family care for americans and thought all types of things of me. I feel horrible. I bought him up here, and has supported him since because he still hasnt worked.

No the first thing she needs to do is see a lawyer. Getting the child support rolling, when he has no job, accomplish nothing. If the marriage is over, she needs to release herself from being financially responsible for him.

I agree get the divorce papers rolling and get that settled then worry about support and if it is even worth it if he doesn't have a job she is going to get nothing just more headaches....

yes he can get his 10 year green card but some more paperwork in involved and it won't look too great on his file once she hands in the divorce complaint his name is flagged in the system

That's how my friend got messed up. She used the Jamaican marriage license as she was told to do by someone else. She didn't know any better. They were set to deport her for fraud, but she was able to get a hearing and to explain herself before a Judge. They keep rescheduling her AOS hearing that's why she's still in the states. December will make 3 years since they filed for AOS. She can't do anything until a new hearing date.

Thanks. I guess I really put a fire under his a$$ today cause he ordered the 3 day cert. Said he would pick it up on Friday. I was glad to get off the phone with him though - he was a crank!! I wanted to get back to my fun sistrens on the VJ thread. I'm living vicariously through Lawny right now!
