more Jamaican gossip then I know about my own city....even after I read all the papers and watch the news. Everyone we know in Jamaica knows everything about everyone else.

Yuh dyam right...Ken came bolting upstairs last night after speaking to Marcel all in a teather about someone they both knew. After he told me I was like..."Alrighty then..."<_< and started walking away... and then he shouts... "and don't tell yuh VisaJourney Sistren dem bout dis!!" I didn't want to hurt his feelings and tell him that ya'll (like myself) probably wouldn't give a rat's batty about his foo-foo gossip! Cho!

Gill;

I wish it was gossip, but it's the truth. The boy (not man) is a damn EDIAT. Mi a tell u...mi nevah know seh punny can mek a man tun inah ediat.

I agree...I mean it was a dyam fool thing to do and I don't think em a guh git dep...I think he is going to be there for AWHILE...unless he can prove otherwise!

Stupid Man!

Gill,

I mean Marcel WARNED and WARNED and WARNED him to stay away from the other women and he did not listen. When we were in Jamaica he would walk off and leave her alone in the club. Then he would leave her for hours at a time at the house. Then she would go crying to Marcel and he would tell her why you staying with him if he's treating you this bad. She's full of crosses and he's a DUMB'A$$. When dude left Jamaica she kept on calling me and texting me for his location telling all kind of lies and Marcel had to put her in her place and tell her never to contact me again.

I know...he didn't seem to be one of Ken's favorite people eiddah! Ken just gets pissed when anyone, especially Yardmen...waste a golden opportunity to do better for themselves and their family!

I didn't realize there was a 3rd ooman involved...like I said ken was taking a shower I was sitting on the counter listening to him tell it and became distracted!:devil::lol:

Ken was taking a shower and talking on the phone?

i am kind of down.. my ex and I have been doing vistiation every other week since our separation. Every once and a while he will say he needs them and shorten my week or ask me to keep them longer when he needs to do something. I haven't made much noise about it cuz right now neither one of us have more rights than the other until the divorce. I just try and hold my piece cuz unlike him I care if my kids see us battling it out. He had the nerve to try and argue w/ me about who calls me on my phone right in the hospital room after my daughters surgery. :protest: NOW, He is gonna tell me he is taking the kids on the first day of school.. it is not even his week, but it is the first day of school so he says he is gonna keep them.

I saw a lawyer yesterday cuz I am tired of this mess, I see now he is not the kind of person I can make an agreement with.. I will need legal help. Unfortunately, everybody wants thousands of dollars to get things going..I don't qualify for legal aid cuz i make too much money. That don't mean I have all that money after bills!!

school is on the 11th.. i have never missed a first day of skool!! He on the other hand has never been there on the first day of school. he is trying to do all this superdad stuff now cuz beside providing shelter, food and clothing he hasn't done much else. Gosh, I guess I should just leave it alone and wait for the courts to decide, but its not fair.. i would just keep them home w/me, but I know he would raise hell.. i don't know..

i am soo mad at myself for ending up w/ such an evil person. I wish I could rewind my life or fast forward it..Thanks for letting me rant...

Do you have a seperation agreement in place as far as the kids go?

My ex and I did the whole draw up the agreements with lawyers thing. We were and are very good at figuring it out amongst ourselves as far as who gets them when. We always work it out. However, that agreement is in place so that if we can't work it out amongst ourselves, we have something each of us can bring up and say, the paperwork actually says I (or you) get them this day. It is a good thing to have. I have only had to pull that card one time in their entire lifetimes.

If you don't at least have that agreement in place, you need to get it done.

DQ - if it is your week, don't give it up. You have every right to keep them, just say no and put your foot down! It is great to be able to be flexible because schedules change and its easier that way on the kids, but you don't have to give them up on something that is important to you just because you have been.

First day of school is always mine, no matter what. I'm the one who makes sure they always have what they need before school starts and I'm the one out there with the camera taking the photos and crying cause my babies are getting on the bus. And my kids like it that way as well because they know Mom's house is the stable house - if something needs to be done or they need to get something for school they tell mom and don't think about it again because mom always comes through.

Furthermore, check online for your state Courts. Most of the family courts are very user friendly now and will probably have all the info you need to get yourself along. I know here the ladies that work at family court are always willing to help and answer questions, without giving legal advice. PM me if you want to talk more.

thanks IW...

That's pretty much what I just said too, without seeing her post. The key here is do you have a formal seperation agreement in place? If not, nothing is truly "your" or "his" week.

good advice JG.. I don't have anything in place, my mistake thinking I could circumvent a costly lawyer and make arrangements w/ this man. I am on the road to get the lawyer now though.. I may not have the funds in time to get a temporary visitation order. I will find out what might be the consequences if I decide to dig my heels in and keep them that week without anything in be set in writing. Let me get that family court number now..

If you can get him to cooperate, you can actually file your own paperwork and do your divorce without a lawyer. I did mine even with kids involved. The judge did tell me it is very difficult to do, most people fail (on that day, only 2 out of about 30 people without lawyers got approval judgements), and I did very well. She made just one change. I downloaded all the appropriate forms for a web site, made calls to verify stuff, and eventually had a lawyer look over the end results before I filed. He made only 2 changes. The total thing cost me like $400.

I am getting the feeling, though, that your ex would not cooperate. So, I think family court is a wonderful idea....make some calls. To protect you now and in the future, you really do need to get some agreement(s) in place. Right now, you both have equal rights in the eyes of the law. That can be a very bad thing for you. When tempers flare, you never know what will happen. If they live with you currently, you technically do have more rights......make sure you get them in writing.

Except that he is the father, Kimmy. He does have rights. Should he chose to exercise those rights, it may not be pleasant. I've seen men demand all kinds of things that were never right for the children just because nothing legal was in place. Some men use their children as pawns in the game they are playing.

You and I both know she is taking on the burden of the care of the children and should be able to make ALL the decsions. But, until things are in writing, it's all about equality.

Wakey, I'm so excited for you girl. I hope you can get some sleep tonight because you know your tails going to be up for the next several nights.

Man our internet access was down at the job all day. It just came back online!

I'm not sleeping well too busy sitting in imagination land planning our days. The ovulation calendar is working against us when he comes up.

Island I'm taking off Thurs and Friday.

Honey I used to bartend and made very very good money when I was in my 20s. I think it depends on the club and if it's really popping. The thing I found is getting in when a club is getting ready to open. People are excited about it and typically the big ballers show up.

Oh well, I have more to read.

Intimacy, like charity, begins at home. If we cannot be intimate with ourselves, we have no way to bring to intimacy with another person.

Intimacy with ourselves takes time. We need time for rest, time for walks, time for quiet, and time to tune into to ourselves. We cannot completely fill up our lives with activities and become intimate with ourselves. Nor can we just sit quietly indefinitely and become intimate with ourselves. We have to have the time and energy to be our lives and to do our live in order to establish and intimate relationship with ourselves.

Surprisingly, as we become intimate with ourselves, we discover our connection with others

no, that's not what I'm saying I could never tell her to not have him see his kids or anything otherwise. What i'm saying is they live with her, my kids will never be a burden even if me and my husband separate. It is "her week" there were no arrangements to say he needs them earlier or she needs them later whatever. What RIGHT does he have more than what she has...what RIGHT is he gonna EXERCISE other than being malicious and selfish? And as long as he play a part in their lives..No, I don't think she should EVER make ALL the decisions that surrounds them. And it just so happens that school falls on "her week" with him acting like that where is the equality in that? what if it fell on "his week" ?

ok, it seems like the applications are processed towards the end of the month..take note guys..all u guys go emails at the same time..lets see how the interviews are going to be assigned
