Good Morning Lawny, Brown, Nanny...... I need to go get some Starbucks!

Mawnin Sunny, I just got some. It's pouring rain outside and the line was going out the door. So, my mom and I drove to the one in Gaitherburg and went through the drive-thru. Well, I have 4 weeks to go before I go home and I can't wait. He has no clue I'm coming, but his best friend does. That's who will pick me up at the airport. I'm still trying to figure out what his parents and family is up to. We shall see. I'm just homesick in the worse way. Now my ALLEGRIES are starting to kick in. I hope I make it through this year. Last year I wanted to rip out my eyes.

I'm jealous... I'm going to stop and get coffee on my way to IKEA with my mom and sister. Lanwy, you'll have the best time in JA. At least you have a countdown because I have no idea of when I'll get back to see Ray. I told him that I might use my Spirit ticket and come for a long weekend. Everything will be fine when you get to JA, just enjoy every minute of it. Start taking your allergy meds early so that you have them well into your system when the time hits....

Do you feel the same way as I do about JA? When you get there you feel like you have all the time in the world to spend time with your fiance and then you turn around and it's time to go. Where does the time go? Damn.... I cried all the way to the airport last month. I told Ray that I can't allow him to drive me to the airport again. It's just real hard for me.....

The last time was really hard, because we were together 14 days and a lot of it was spent meeting his family, which is all over the damn island. One day we're in St. Elizabeth, next day we in Mandaville. I just got tired and then they always wanting to feed my already BIG A$$. Most of them don't know I'm Jamaican, so they go into this long A$$ explaination about the food and culture. I let them finish. Then I hit them with the PATWAH. It's always so funny. I told him this time it's all about US. I mean, damn, I though my family was huge. I told him if we have a wedding in Jamaica it would be well over 1500 people.

Has he voiced any objections before? About moving to the US, I mean?

Do you think he had an argument or something with his father that could make him hesitant to move?

He could just be scared. It is a big step for anyone.

I think at the very least, you need to have some good sit down, heart to hearts with him to find out what the problem is.

I absolutely think you are in the most perfect situation. With those of us on K-1's & K-3's we are given little time to live together and make that smooth transition from living apart to marrying and being together almost all the time at first. Someone I know was saying she wished they gave us 4 months before the K-1 expired. I said 6 would be even better. The transition is just so sudden and difficult to work with.

Anyhow, I think you are the luckiest girl I have heard of in a long time. Yes, use the time to see how it all flows. That is a brilliant thing to do.

And, no, since his father is directly involved in this one, I think it was appropriate to discuss with him. I am almost thinking you should've said all that to Mike first though. I think I would definately discuss it before he finds out from his father.

JG, thank you for your openmindednes and great advice. I am happy that you have not voiced what I was thinking. That he might have someone there with him at nights why it's been difficult for him to talk to me.

Initially, when we talked about him coming and the progress of the visa petitoni, I got so excited, but he was like nonchalant and stated that he is not in a hurry to leave JA. He also said that he had a good job and lives in a good home and is among his family that he grew up with. The only good thing that he said was that he wanted to be with me and that makes hime want to move. He wanted to drag thing out a bit longer so maybe he is apprehensive about leaving, uprooting the life that he is used to,to try to adapt to a whole new country, lifestyle and living with a womna after not having done so in years.

Whenever I try to talk to him about the changes that are about to happen, he clams up. His step-mom suggested the same thing that you did. when he comes to Florida, I should come visit him and sit down and talk about the changes and how it is going to affect him and hoe it is making him feel.

Thank you also for saying I am fortunate to be in this situation, cause I feel the same. I want to take that time to get to know him at a closer distance before I make the big step to live with him.

Claire it took awhile for my husband to get here. We had known each other for 8 years before we got married. It was hard for him to leave his friends and family. We just took our time. We didn't talk a lot after we got married about things that were going to change cause he knew he would deal with it when he got here. I just let him enjoy his last nine months with fam and friends. When he got here he did very well. He has more friends in my hometown than I do now and is enjoying life here. He is so excited to go back home for 2 weeks this summer. He will go one week without me to see friends and then Jaylyn and I will go down the next week to visit my mother inlaw and my friends. I would just say let him enjoy time with his fam and friends because soon he will be here and it will just be you and him.

Clarie one more thing that helped us is that my family spent a whole week with him. When we were married I had 18 family members and friends fly down to meet him and that was great. He feel in love with our family. This was a blessing. My dad and him have become great friends.

can i say i am just sick to my stomach.....yesterday i was watching Dr. Phil and on his show he was talking about registerd sex offenders.....and gave a web site to check it out to see who was liseted in your area....oh my goodness where i used to live so many listed....some considerd high risk a couple lived in either the same apt. complex OR in the area...so lived where i was thinking about moving to when i was looking for apt.....just makes me sick to my stomach cause not all of them were listed for underage assualt...a lot were listed with rape....just makes me nervous about bringing a little girl into the world....

Oh I have been on that site before and the men look really creepy. I helped my girlfriend out a couple years ago. Her ex was going to jail and wanted to see their son before he went to jail. I lucky was looking on that site and saw that he was a registered sex offender. Few Its also weird when you see one of your former classmates posted on that site.

I Just got finished cleaning and was thinking the same thing. My pelvic area has started to hurt so much. Sorry for the TMI. I am going shopping tomorrow with my sister-in-law for items. Hopefully hubby will get the nursery painted this week. I should say better get it painted because he is on Spring Break.

Is everyone ready to Spring Forward. It just seems so early this year. I hate losing an hour of sleep.
