Thanks to everyone for the prayers. I will keep you all posted. I know if phone connection is lost we may not be able to immediately contact them once the hurricane has passed.

JG,

Thanks for the info. I'm working on getting the fee together now for the AOS. I believe we are going to file for them all. The EAD will definitely be needed and it would be nice to have the AP in case we happen to hit the lottery or something and can take a vacation or trip back to JA sometime next year.

TNW......AP is fine for travelling all by itself. But, he has a job now, right? Better file EAD immediately too or you are going to have employment issues.

Thanks JG for the info. We'll file AOS/EAD/ AP all at once....just wondered if the AP was enough to travel cause it seems like the AP and EAD come back Before the AOS does, right? Either way, we're hoping to send it all out before the end of August for sure.

CONGRATS LAWNY & MARCEL!!!!!!! Keep us posted on the big event

Claire.....I saw ur post so maybe we'll hook up in Brooklyn over Labor Day weekend. I'll PM you!

Seems to be the trend that it comes before AOS, yes.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking too. Atleast we can travel and he can work, possibly, while waiting for the "Big" AOS packet to go thru.

TYMOORE.....like JG said, when u file AOS the "big" fee covers all three - AOS/EAD/AP - IF U FILE ALL 3 AT ONCE but it's not mandatory that folks send in all three applications at once. It makes "sense" to send in all three at once, so you can save yourself some steps later.

12/11/06 (she doesn't come on here much anymore).....she only sent in the AOS packet and then when her husband wanted to travel back to JA, they had to wait another 2 months to get the EAD/ AP back. It just slowed everything down so i would send them all at once, if u can.

Keep in mind that they send all 3 to different places to be processed once it arrives at your designated AOS service center. You NEED to attach the proper evidence to each of the forms seperately. There has been some talk about RFE's for people who don't.

My friends are saying the same thing, but seriously Sus with the underhanded shyt that goes on in my office, i would wind up reporting him and i would be the one terminated. ( im not saying its right, im just saying thats how it is  . I work for community mental health and we have people who are in recovery who also work in our office as peers ( recovery is classified as back in the work force, after a dx of bipolar, depression, substance abuse, schizophrenia, whatever..u name it) anyway, last year one of our employees, who is also a peer, decided that i was looking just to inviting to him...( :jest: ) I joke about it, but at the time it really upset me, anyway grabbed me at work, hugged me, proceeded to put his lips on my neck and tell me i smelled good. I was disgusted to say the least!!!! get your dyam hands off me. I reported it and guess what nothing happened... ( because he is a peer,he is held to different standards, though the say he is treated as any other employee) Now in the real world, you cant go around grabbing folks all willy nilly and think you can keep your job. WELL HE DID...so what im saying is, yeah i can report it , but im certain it will be downplayed and swept under the rug( and this particular coworker i speak of now) doesnt have shyt wrong with him other than the fact that he is an ### and has worked for the agency for 10 years.

Honey, I would document, report everything in writing, etc... depending on the size of your organization, they are required under federal laws to provide a safe, nonhostile work environment - Not stopping issues when they occur is grounds for a lawsuit (think money to pay the fee bills, and more trips to JA, lol)
