Dear Heavenly Father,

This is a wonderful day, Lord! Two of your most dedicated children become one today! Lord, watch over Novelette and Marcel on this day and in their marriage. Please bless them with the strength to get through this day and find you and love at the end of it!

Lord, keep their marriage upon the solid foundation that they have built for themselves through you. Help them to weather the rough times...together and show them many, many good times ...together. Help them to build and provide for their family...together.

Keep them strong and a united powerful team against the devil and others that wish them harm and ill-will...together. Show them that through you and their love they can conquer ANYTHING...together!

Lawny & Marcel remember:

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. -1 Corinthians 13:4-7

Lord, you have been so good to them so far. You helped them to find each other and start this wonderful journey. You supported them through the many months they were separated. You carried them through the interview process and finally brought Marcel here to be with his Wife. Bless them Father....oh Bless them that their love continues to grow, their faith in each other and you remains steadfast and strong.

But most importantly Lord...Help them to feel the love they have for each other today...always.

In your powerful & bless-ed name we pray...

AMEN!!

Lawny and Marcel, I will tell you the same thing our pastor told Ken and I. In the worst of times in your marriage, remember one thing...'Love is patient...Love is patient...Love is patient!!'

This is the bless-ed day that you have both been working towards! Rejoice in this day!!

Bless-ed love to you both,

(L)(L)(L)(L):luv:

Thanks Gill, sometimes just having support from the folks here helps to keep us alive. lol I'll just sit back and be patient...... I haven't called the embassy before or are you speaking of the 202#. Help a sistah out. Thanks a bunch... Sometimes when I think about it only being 4 months from the date we filed, I'm like chill out girl....

Yes Chica, the 202# (202-663-1225) :luv:

If they have the DS-230, you WILL get an interview date in September!

Bless,

Gill

Thanks Gilli, that's the number I've been calling. I'll give them another call sometime next week to see if they have receipt of the DS-230 documented. Thanks for your help! :)

Whaaa de rasss???!!!

Jamaicans could be sought for Iraq and Afghanistan

Finding it difficult to recruit enough soldiers to meet its international commitments, the British Army is reported to be thinking about signing up Jamaicans to fill the posts.

Looking for soldiers within countries with historical and or current British ties, the British military has been facing a hard time getting and retaining soldiers with its engagements in Iraq and continued efforts in Afghanistan against the Taliban.

Already employing around 1200 soldiers from foreign, including commonwealth countries, the British army already has about 600 soldiers in its ranks.

The Brits continue to consider sending a selection team to Jamaica, a former colony of Britain that remains a member of the Commonwealth.

:ot2:

THAT'S INSANE!!! So you're not good enough to migrate here anymore...BUT onnuh can go over to Afghanistan and die for us! Kiss my Black, Gold and Green Batty!!! That's something that should NOT be outsourced by J'Cans!

Dyam nerve!

Bless,

Gill

This is nothing new. 4 of Andre's friends migrated to England by joining the army. Only 2 are still in....they are stationed in Germany.

Tre.....Love you, girlfriend. I wish you and Marcel a lifetime of happiness.

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

You can't go back for what you've missed

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

You only get one trip

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast

You only get one trip

I'm upset today. :( Why is it friggin taking so long for the embassy to document receipt of the DS-230. It was dropped off on the 10th. I sent an e-mail today to the embassy asking for confirmation of receipt so I hope I hear something sometime soon....

I'm here waiting with ya Sista - I feel your pain!! But we already talked about that.:lol:

Keep on e-mailing them though. Wait a day and then send the 3rd request. That's usually when they would respond to me. I never made it to the 4th request.

Intimacy, like charity, begins at home. If we cannot be intimate with ourselves, we have no way to bring to intimacy with another person.

Intimacy with ourselves takes time. We need time for rest, time for walks, time for quiet, and time to tune into to ourselves. We cannot completely fill up our lives with activities and become intimate with ourselves. Nor can we just sit quietly indefinitely and become intimate with ourselves. We have to have the time and energy to be our lives and to do our live in order to establish and intimate relationship with ourselves.

Surprisingly, as we become intimate with ourselves, we discover our connection with others

Intimacy....In/to/me/see...
