There comes a point in your life when you realize who matters, who never did, who won't anymore... and who always will.

So, don't worry about people from your past, there's a reason why they didn't make it to your future.

Ohhh I remember my work in housekeeping. I think it was the nastiest job too. This one time a woman stayed for about a week. I went to clean the room after her check out she had made the bed and cleaned the room. At first I thought awesome I don't have to do anything but clean the bathroom. Well, my mind wouldn't let it go and I pulled the comforter back and OMG. A BIG POOL OF BLOOD in the center of the bed.

Intimacy, like charity, begins at home. If we cannot be intimate with ourselves, we have no way to bring to intimacy with another person.

Intimacy with ourselves takes time. We need time for rest, time for walks, time for quiet, and time to tune into to ourselves. We cannot completely fill up our lives with activities and become intimate with ourselves. Nor can we just sit quietly indefinitely and become intimate with ourselves. We have to have the time and energy to be our lives and to do our live in order to establish and intimate relationship with ourselves.

Surprisingly, as we become intimate with ourselves, we discover our connection with others

sunday i was in a better place, but D was kind of mopey and frustrated. I hate when we are in that place, because their is not much either one of us can do to make one another feel better. Now what we look forward to is when we will see each other again.

Good morning Everyone!!!

Well my daughter made it home safe after spending the past 17 days with her father. She said she had fun but I am so glad she is home! PHEW!!!

Louis and I have been sightseeing and chillin. I think he really likes Maine. We took a boat ride off the coast and saw all the little islands. We have gone to parks and lighthouses, lakes and beaches. He loves everything. He is still a bit annoyed by people staring at him but I told him to get over it... I went through it for 6 months in St Lucia. At least he doesn't have to deal with cat calls and people yelling at him as we drive down the street! LOL

Congrats to Lawny and Marcel ... hope you two are having fun!!!

Good luck and congrats to anyone and everyone else. There are just too many pages to catch up with!!

......

Oh! on another topic... I have a girlfriend that wants to take a vacation by herself over Christmas. She has been to SLU twice to visit me so I told her to try something new. What do you all think about sending her to Jamaica?

Peace & Blessings.... Irie

Morning everyone!

Eeeeewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww on the housekeeping talk!

IrieCat, I think sending her to JA would be good - In Negril, there's always a ton of people that travel back and forth, so definitely people that she could meet up with.

Irie i think she would love JA, but in my opinion i think she should go with someone to JA first, as we all know JA can be a little overwhelming as a newbie. After subsequent visits to see D, i felt fine going places alone, and felt comfortable getting around on my own, while D was at work. Now if she stays in an AI, she will meet people and still enjoy herself, but being that JA is a place to relax and party, she might have more fun with a friend. Just my opinion ;)

I'm willing to go to the New Harbor. They have this new speed boat ride called Seadog that looks lots loads of fun. VCheck it out. http://www.seadogcruises.com/dc/

Ok girls, I'm outta here. Heading with my mom shopping. I'll check you guy's later. Have a great day.

We have these in Chicago! Lots of fun. I took my DH and sister in law on a Seadog last summer when he first got here and he loved it.

She does everything alone so thats not a big deal. She is gutsy too... I mean she would be smart but not afraid of being outgoing. :-)

What is AI? Sorry.... LOL

I would agree in Ocho Rios or Mo Bay - I wouldn't say the same for negril - there is a whole message board of people that travel back and forth to Negril, they do live webcasts, happy hours, etc.... I have met many members from there over the years and had the best times hanging out with them - In Negril, she could easily link up and have fun.

Lovely idea. I've been to Jamaica a handful of times all by myself. MoBay mostly.

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

You can't go back for what you've missed

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

You only get one trip

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast

You only get one trip
