Welcome KC...do mind if I ask why you are leaving the US? I thought you could stay while your case is pending if you are already here. Sanity comes from the relationships and understanding here on VJ in the yardie thread. When we all loose a little bit of faith...and look down from the prize...there is always somewhere here to push your chin up and remind you that God didn't bring you this far to leave you.

You will be okay...just trust in God to order each of your steps.

You two are too dyam much! You, Kimmi and Ken are all anxious to get me PG! We are NOT 'PG' at this current time...but thanks for asking! Geez if and when it happens onnuh will be 3rd & 4th fuh knoa...right afta mi han Ken! But gotta tell ya I am not planning on it right now! I want to wait til we get our baby, KJ up here into this crazy mix before bringing yet another child into the mix!

Although Missa Young has different plans "Pickney is pickney...1,2,3,4.. it's all deh same...what's one more?" 'If we were inna Yard...mi wouldda give yuh all 3 more pickney but now!' Yet another reason fi thank G-d for the ole U.S. of A!!

He has given up wearing 'boots' now. In his head "Married men doan wear nuh dyam boots" So me and that ovulation calculator are best friends...during peak times tings LACKHOFF!

Keep your head up, Sweets...everything is just for 'a time'. Yuh see mi? Try to think of it as a temporary setback to a permanent achievement! The way I got through was playing the "Before this or that" game. Like when I filed for my husband, Ken in July 2007...I told myself "Ken will be here BEFORE the 2008 Olympics!" So said...so done! Give yourself a reasonable marker...and you'd be surprised how quickly it comes. And don't forget deh Father!

Pray, pray...PRAY!!! All is possible through him and he WILL give you the strength!!

You wanted to know how to cope with USCIS and the separation from your SO...just stick with us and we'll help you along the way. Lord, knows and the ladies here know...if it wasn't for them, I would have no EYELASHES left. We get crazy at times, but just chime in, we love the flow. Update on my girlfriend.

She got back from Jamaica last night and I was right, she went down to get the business in order. Good thing his name was never attached to anything. Her husband has access to nothing. The only reason she's allowing him to stay in the family house is because 2 of his children live with him and they have a year left in school. After that, he's out. She says she has too much on her mind right now to be hurt. She wanted to forgive him with the advice of her pastor, but when she found out that the woman he slept with was only 19 years old -- THAT WAS IT! Her and the baby are fine. When she flew into Miami, she was taken to a room to be questioned, because she told them that she was 7 months pregnant and they didn't believe her. She asked them if she wanted her to do a strip search, but they said, no and let her get on her way to her connecting flight. She's invested so much time, money and love into this marriage and for it to end this way, but she says in the long run it would have cost her much more....peace and happiness.

THE VISA I CAME HERE ON (J-1) HAS A STIPULATION THAT REQUIRES ME TO GO BACK TO JAMAICA FOR 2 YEARS BEFORE I CAN APPLY FOR CERTAIN VISAS INCLUDING AND ESPECIALLY IMMIGRANT VISAS OR ADJUSTMENT OF STATUS. I HAVE APPLIED FOR A WAIVER ON THE BASIS OF A NO OBJECTION LETTER FROM THE JAMAICAN GOVERNMENT- WHICH BASICALLY SAYS THEY DON'T CARE IF I DECIDE NOT TO RETURN TO JAMAICA, AND SINCE I AM WELL AWARE OF THE SNAIL SPEED AT WHICH JAMAICAN BUREAUCRACY MOVES,I EXPECT IT WILL TAKE THE FULL FOUR MONTHS TO GET THE LETTER THEY TOLD ME. IN ADDITION TO THE 2-3 MONTHS THE DEPARTMENT OF STATE NEEDS TO PROCESS THE APPLICATION (AND DO THE FBI NAME CHECK-WHICH SEEMS TO TAKE FOREVER ). SO, SINCE I AM NOT ABLE TO APPLY TO ADJUST STATUS AND ME BEING HERE ILLEGALLY IS THE LAST THING WE WANT TO HAPPEN, IF PUSH COME TO SHOVE I'M GOING BACK TO JAMAICA AND DH WILL APPLY THE CR-1/IR-1 WAY. A GOOD TING ME NEVER FLING NUH STONE BACKA MI,LOL.
