Hi Ms Hellwig..

Girl, i know it's easier to say don;t worry blah blah blah..but listen to me..DONOT run after anything that is not willing or is running after u....leave him be..let him get it together..u can't be the only one fighting...someone MUST have talked, seen him or something dem a lie to...all i'm saying is always easier being said..but u go and ponder a take a look at everything..if he's not interested in finding out which form is the correct form to send it..then oh well..girl..i'm not saying let go..but just let GOD..u ever look at things and how they are moving in the total opposite sirection than what we want..but the outcome didn't change? u know why..b/c we can't control what God has already done....

sorry if that's not the answer/opinion that sounds right...but is the truth..And I will keep u in my prayers

come on 2wks wid no contact or attempt on his part...PLEASE !!

Hey Kimmy;

Did I tell you that I LOVE YOU today. I can't remember, but what's the baby's name?

Mrs. H....I am so sorry.

It seems to me he keeps freaking himself out. Maybe he isn't as ready as he is saying.

They told me to go home and change. I told them if I go home I'm not comming back. The ediat that spill the coffee on my desk and on me keep walking by a saying "you sure you don't want me to pay to have that cleaned"...rolling eyes

Thanks Lawny, i know what you mean, i have already gotten questions like, " so is this a fling?" " how do you afford to go?" or " your going again? (smirk, smirk), how was the sex!!!!! shyt like that..i had to just put on my headphones take a couple deep breaths and try not to act a nut up in here....lol

OMG! I thought I was the only one with wack a$$ co-workers. They met my fiance last week and they were all like I bet he can put it down...you know how Jamaican men are in bed...then I get the DEXTER comments and some go as far as asking about his ****. Oh and one more thing, if one more person says anything about "STELLA" I'm going to flick off. Even though I've been here for 11 years a lot of people don't know where I'm from.

That is hysterical lawny and honey..What I find the funniest thing is the so called jokes come from black friends..my white friends are all like that is soooo sweet and asking about details of my trips and wedding. Now what they say behind my back I don't know..but our folks always trying to clown...

To hell with them I think they are haters!

Intimacy, like charity, begins at home. If we cannot be intimate with ourselves, we have no way to bring to intimacy with another person.

Intimacy with ourselves takes time. We need time for rest, time for walks, time for quiet, and time to tune into to ourselves. We cannot completely fill up our lives with activities and become intimate with ourselves. Nor can we just sit quietly indefinitely and become intimate with ourselves. We have to have the time and energy to be our lives and to do our live in order to establish and intimate relationship with ourselves.

Surprisingly, as we become intimate with ourselves, we discover our connection with others

I am with you on this one. First of all, I NEVER lost my GD groove.

I always want to ask people if they read the book and/or saw the movie and really paid attention. I did both. I can tell you, my life and relationship does not mirror that stupid story one bit. Yes, I met my husband in Jamaica. And, yes, he is Jamaican. Yes, we eventually married. Other then that, my story does not mirror that story one freakin' bit.

I think I am going to carry copies of the book. Next time someone says something, I am going to shove a copy of the book down their throats!

Great idea Jomo I totally agree we should all keep copies with us and give them out..

BelwinMills,

OMG that's horrible. Its terrible to think that people can actually behave that way. Your professor must definitely be a very unhappy and lonely soul. I've been finding that for the most part, my family is okay with it, but its the coworkers and friends who seem to be envious and have the negative comments. The previous comment I mentioned in my earlier post didn't come from a family member but someone whom I'm very close to who is just like family. He's like the grandfather i never had. Always gives me advice. I think maybe he's afraid that we won't be close or able to talk anymore once I'm married. Because after he made the comment about me and my SO waiting for awhile, he said, " well he won't have a problem with you still keeping in touch with poppa will he?"..He's almost 78 and considers me a daughter. I told him no of course not, (actually my SO already knows about him).. He says he knows I can take care of myself he just wants to make sure I'm making the right decision. Hopefully he will be able to make the trip up from CALI for the wedding but at his age he isn't to thrilled of the thought of flying.

Dang that is messed up..My aunt said.."Well baby ain't nothing wrong with trying marriage out to see if you like it. just don't go putting his name on any papers for a while. We's all gotts to try it and see if we like it".......I was thinking our elders are so jaded it isn't funny..

I got those comments all the time about my ex-husband, and about A. When the DC Sniper thing happened, one of my IGNORANT BLONDE co-workers asked me if the Jamaican was related to my husband. I turned around and said are you related to Jeffrey Dalmer or Charles Manson? Rude *eifer! My team cracked up laughing, and she turned five shades of red.

Those Stella comments are the reason I titled my story "My Name Ain't Stella"...

When I was out sick last year with my neck, people told my boss that my boyfriend proposed to me and that I was probably in Jamaica getting married. I have been turned down for promotions because I use my VACATION/PERSONAL time to go on vacation....not sick time or company time.

I have had people come to me trashing Jamaica because they didn't like it for whatever reason...and trying to blame their miserable trips on me. Two co-workers went with me to Jamaica...and they hated it. They didn't want to spend a dime on anything except weed...got mad because the men weren't feeling them (not even known gigalos)...and started ragging on Jamaica and me back at work. Well, I politely told them just why they weren't feeling Jamaica since they wanted to make me the joke. AIN'T NO WALMART in any other country except the USA and CANADA dummies!!!!

If you can't find a man with a pension plan and 401k in the States...then what makes you think you are the of the caliber to meet one in Jamaica? KISS TEET! Mek mi vex hall hova hagen! CHA!

Amen sis..

Morning Yardies!

I wanted to share a prayer I received in my email this am -

The prayer:

Father, I ask You to bless my friends, relatives and those that I care deeply for, who are reading this right now. Show them a new revelation of your love and power. Holy Spirit, I ask You to minister to their spirit at this very moment. Where there is pain, give them your peace and mercy. Where there is self-doubt, release a renewed confidence through your grace. Where there is need, I ask you to fulfill their needs. Bless their homes, families, health, finances, their goings and their comings. In Jesus' precious name. Amen.

Thanks Sus; that was beautiful.

I've not slept all night and they've started to PLUCK my nerves already. I go ther at 8am and I've received 56 e-mails.

Lawny lef dem lashes alone gal! lol
