She's in no mood to fight and would never. She's 7 months pregnant my gut feeling is telling me she's going to work it out. Who knows. Either way, I'm not saying anything. I'll just listen.

That's your job. My best friend went through a bad situation with her boyfriend but she stuck it out because they have a 16 month old daughter together. I always told her that it wasn't my job to tell her what to do as she was the only one who had to walk in her shoes, but it was my job to support her in whatever decision she made. She has thanked me a million times over for being there.

When was the last time your friend was with her husband?

The week of May 1st, 2008. That's why none of his actions or what he says makes any sense to me. I think he wanted to do this from a long time ago; before that, she was home in February, November through December....so, it's no like she's away for an extended period of time.

It doesn't make sense. I pray for her strength and hope it works out for her, whatever way it is supposed to.

What's up FORBES,

Hope all is well. Unfortunately he was not joking. All what he said was confirmed by her husband's father and brothers and the woman called her almost all day yesterday. For the life of me I can't understand why he choose to call and tell her he was with another woman except to be CRUEL. He told his father that he had to tell his wife what happened in order to clear his head...my response WTH. I've been calling her all morning and she won't answer. I don't know if I should call her mom and sisters to go check on her as she's pregnant and already under a lot of stress. She's not a work (she called out today) and I'm getting worried.

Wait a minute - the woman who phocked HER husband called her all day yesterday??!!!! ####### for, to rub it in her face more?? And I don't buy the clear his head thing. If that was truly the case then he would need to do that after the fact, not while in the midst of it!!! He was intentionally being rude and hurtful and he is freakin scum of the ocean!!

I see why the poor girl is not answering her phone today!! When I have something that I need to work out I like to be left alone too, but as long as her mother or sister knows her situation, I would call them for my own piece of mind.

You are a good friend Lawny. She is going to need all the support she can get right now.

They don't know and that's why I'm sooooo worried. I don't know what to do. I'm going to wait a few more hours. I really need advice here...what should I do. I know she would freak out if she did not hear from me all morning. I've left several messages and no answer. I can't even eat or concentrate at work.

I think you should give her some space. I know when i am having a hard time. haivng people ask me about it all the time makes it 10 times worse, because I just want to get in touch with me and God and thats where I get peace. Just leave her a message letting her know you are there, and she can call you when she is ready.

OMG...I was right. She's in Jamaica. Landed and hour ago.

Oh man, why did i feel this too. I didnt want to say anything, but you know what....its EXACTLY what I would have done. It may be a bad move, but its still what I would have done. Sometimes you gotta just make a move otherwise sickness sets in from just sitting around thinking about it. Some people handle pressure better by confronting it. So I pray that this is the case with her too.

Thanks Lawny, i know what you mean, i have already gotten questions like, " so is this a fling?" " how do you afford to go?" or " your going again? (smirk, smirk), how was the sex!!!!! shyt like that..i had to just put on my headphones take a couple deep breaths and try not to act a nut up in here....lol

OMG! I thought I was the only one with wack a$$ co-workers. They met my fiance last week and they were all like I bet he can put it down...you know how Jamaican men are in bed...then I get the DEXTER comments and some go as far as asking about his ****. Oh and one more thing, if one more person says anything about "STELLA" I'm going to flick off. Even though I've been here for 11 years a lot of people don't know where I'm from.

Wow, the ignorance of people is amazing sometimes. You know what you say to stuff like that? Get as crazy as they are. These people really have no idea how offensive they are being. That Stella comment came up with me. I'm like" WTH, I'm not 20years older than my husband!!" Jesus! Is Stella the only person allowed to meet someone from another country?

Which is why I say it too......I don't exactly look like Stella, you know. Nor was my husband allowed to travel freely to the US. Nor was he from rich parents. Yada, yada, yada............Mention Stella to my husband, knowing how her husband turned out, and he'll chop you!!!!

See, you guys are better then me. If I got that call from my husband or his woman, I would walk away. Oh, sure, he would hear plenty of words from me. But, I would not travel to see him. It would be finished.

I think I would do the same thing JOMO. I would just be done with him too. I would never be able to trust him again and when trust is gone the relationship is over.

All Marcel says is that DAMN BATTY BWAY...she should have know he was a fish from a long time ago. I was like baby, now, that's not a nice thing to say.

JG; about my friend going to Jamaica, if my feelings are right and I know her as well as I do, I don't think she's there to save her marriage. Now, I may be wrong, but he was suppose to sell their business in anticipation of his move to the states to a large tour company in Jamaica and my friend (his wife) is the main point of contact and a lot of $$$$$$$$ is to made through this transaction. Now, if she halts it, which I'm hoping she does, her husband will lose out since he never really invested any funds in it. She may leave it to family. I don't know how property is divided in Jamaica, but the house he's in she built back in 1995. I think she's there for closure. I'm just waiting for her to call me. Her mom called left me a message, but I'm too chicken to answer the phone.

I got those comments all the time about my ex-husband, and about A. When the DC Sniper thing happened, one of my IGNORANT BLONDE co-workers asked me if the Jamaican was related to my husband. I turned around and said are you related to Jeffrey Dalmer or Charles Manson? Rude *eifer! My team cracked up laughing, and she turned five shades of red.

Those Stella comments are the reason I titled my story "My Name Ain't Stella"...

When I was out sick last year with my neck, people told my boss that my boyfriend proposed to me and that I was probably in Jamaica getting married. I have been turned down for promotions because I use my VACATION/PERSONAL time to go on vacation....not sick time or company time.

I have had people come to me trashing Jamaica because they didn't like it for whatever reason...and trying to blame their miserable trips on me. Two co-workers went with me to Jamaica...and they hated it. They didn't want to spend a dime on anything except weed...got mad because the men weren't feeling them (not even known gigalos)...and started ragging on Jamaica and me back at work. Well, I politely told them just why they weren't feeling Jamaica since they wanted to make me the joke. AIN'T NO WALMART in any other country except the USA and CANADA dummies!!!!

DWL...jawi....too funny. The main reason I will never coordinator another trip to with coworkers again. The last was in 2002 for 65 people may have been more. I use to be able to do this with easy, but as you know you can't please everyone and over course, since I'm the JAMAICAN I know where the buy all the good weed.

Do you all think this make sense; this morning when i called the NVC the rep told me that some months Kingston only gives the 5 slots (hmmm mmm yep 5) for IR1/CR1!

I didnt even responded to the woman who by the way was unusually nice. Im begining to think that NO ONE in the US government cares immigration process in Jamaica!

5 slots!! All month! That is crazy!! So who the hell are all those other 200 people in the embassy that week. That is crazy. I dont get why this visa gets no priority whatsoever. Its mad crazy!!

I AGREE LITA!!! That's always confused me with USCIS processing. I'm sorry it's not like this is your brother or some long lost relative....THIS IS YOUR SPOUSE FOR GOODNESS SAKE!!! I'm mean ok forget the emotional support that a spouse typically provides...what about financial!! Don't they think that people would like to build a life together asap?

Afterall, not for nothing...but a spouse married to a US citizen according to the U.S. IS a potential U.S. citizen. If push came to shove and something horrible happened in JA, U.S. spouse would be second on the list of people to extract from JA, right after U.S. citizens. I remember during Reagan's term and that whole thing happened in Grenada, my Aunt was married to my uncle (Grenadian citizen at the time), and had filed for him. Although the process had not totally completed yet, when the U.S. Marines invaded. He was given shelter at the U.S. Embassy for the initial 2 weeks of the conflict along with actual U.S. Citizens!! His process was expedited and he was sent on to the U.S. All he showed them to get into the embassy was his marriage certificate and proof of my Aunt's U.S. citizenship! So, if that is the case then why now do they get pushed to the bottom of the line? I just don't get it! I mean what G-d has put together, let no make, ooman or USCIS keep apart!! It makes absolutely NO SENSE!!! It needs to be reviewed and changed!!

Morning Yardies!

I wanted to share a prayer I received in my email this am -

The prayer:

Father, I ask You to bless my friends, relatives and those that I care deeply for, who are reading this right now. Show them a new revelation of your love and power. Holy Spirit, I ask You to minister to their spirit at this very moment. Where there is pain, give them your peace and mercy. Where there is self-doubt, release a renewed confidence through your grace. Where there is need, I ask you to fulfill their needs. Bless their homes, families, health, finances, their goings and their comings. In Jesus' precious name. Amen.
