What is she going to do? Put the beat down on the other woman and then deal with hubby?

I think her pastor put her up to it. At a loss for words right now. I know she really loves this man and when I spoke to her yesterday I thought for sure she was going to leave him, but who knows now. I'm just worried about her mental state.

Lawny why would her pastor put her in such a precarious position not knowing what she would face when she gets here?

If he did then he acted irresponsibily knowing fully well that she may just get into more problems and what if....just what if this other woman decides to stand up to her???

Does she have any backative apart from her husband here in Jamaica??? I sure do hope so.

Kish;

First of all thanks for the prayer.

I wish I had an answer for that. I know when she spoke to him yesterday (the pastor is in Jamaica) he told her that this was a test of their vows and to try and work through it and that others have gotten past adultry. She's Jamaican and a lot of her family is still in Jamaica, so she's not alone. Her sister-in-law was the one that called me to tell me that she's there. I'm sure her mom and sisters will call me soon, because they usually talk to her several times for the day. I'm sure someone from Jamaica has already called them. I just don't want to be the one to tell them what's going on.

She's in no mood to fight and would never. She's 7 months pregnant my gut feeling is telling me she's going to work it out. Who knows. Either way, I'm not saying anything. I'll just listen.

I hope everything works out the way your friend wants it and that little baby is not affected the time it is born. God Bless

That's your job. My best friend went through a bad situation with her boyfriend but she stuck it out because they have a 16 month old daughter together. I always told her that it wasn't my job to tell her what to do as she was the only one who had to walk in her shoes, but it was my job to support her in whatever decision she made. She has thanked me a million times over for being there.

When was the last time your friend was with her husband?

The week of May 1st, 2008. That's why none of his actions or what he says makes any sense to me. I think he wanted to do this from a long time ago; before that, she was home in February, November through December....so, it's no like she's away for an extended period of time.

Lawny, my prayers are with your friend - I am so sorry to hear that she is going through this, and wish her the best - I think that in her situation I would probably be on a plane too (actually, I was, years ago) - But I would be going to open a can of whoop a** on the man - He isn't worthy of her - it breaks my heart to hear what he is putting her through, especially while she's pregnant.

As for the remarks of others - I have heard them all before - with my current relationship, I keep things very quiet - only people really close to me know the truth. However, even with that I have one friend that has had an attitude - She is my best friend from high school, and while she won't openly say things, certain things that she says have lead me to realize she has a problem with it. I finally said something to her the other night, and asked her that if I had gone to London, fallen in love, and was in this situation, would she have an issue? She said no - basically it comes down to the country and race. I ripped on her and told her that I have always supported her unconditionally, if she can't do the same for me then maybe we have outgrown our friendship.

How about getting a $2800 bonus but after taxes, $1671...Thought I was gonna throw up...

ok, how bout those of us who dont get a bouns at all....lol.

Yeah, I fall into that group - And to add insult to injury, I just had to sit through a two hour meeting that explained how the bonus pool is calculated - why do I care? And why are you going to rub my nose in it?

Thanks Lawny, i know what you mean, i have already gotten questions like, " so is this a fling?" " how do you afford to go?" or " your going again? (smirk, smirk), how was the sex!!!!! shyt like that..i had to just put on my headphones take a couple deep breaths and try not to act a nut up in here....lol

OMG! I thought I was the only one with wack a$$ co-workers. They met my fiance last week and they were all like I bet he can put it down...you know how Jamaican men are in bed...then I get the DEXTER comments and some go as far as asking about his ****. Oh and one more thing, if one more person says anything about "STELLA" I'm going to flick off. Even though I've been here for 11 years a lot of people don't know where I'm from.

Wow, the ignorance of people is amazing sometimes. You know what you say to stuff like that? Get as crazy as they are. These people really have no idea how offensive they are being. That Stella comment came up with me. I'm like" WTH, I'm not 20years older than my husband!!" Jesus! Is Stella the only person allowed to meet someone from another country?
